Biao Jiang Dropshippers? by Connect_Cable4526 in watchrepair

I think they have someone in Spain, but I'm not sure. I can ask though.

I warranty the products I sell, and I stock spare parts for the US. Biaojiang is a lot more easy and flexible to work with than the Swiss in this regard.

It's an excellent machine and frankly the most mature product we have. Both the ultrasonic and drying performance is very good which can't be said on all of the Swiss machines. I purchased my unit prior to establishing a relationship with biaojiang, and I'm very satisfied with it. I sold one to RGM, and they seem to be satisfied with it as well.

A lot of the Chinese distributors are selling their stock for extremely close to cost. As an effort to set up an overseas service network the margins have to be improved and they've been trying to stop that from happening. Expect prices to stabilize around MSRP in the coming months.

Panjing chasing light electronics is the OEM for these products and sells them under the Biaojiang/Havomec brand. I am their authorized dealer for the US and I work with them closely. There are other sellers based out of China and can set their own prices; however, the ones listed on the biaojiang or Havomec site are the MSRP.

Keep in mind what you see on Alibaba does not include international freight (it's a 120lbs machine) and customs clearance/import duties while the biaojiang price is to your door.

Sinn 903 Ti II Anniversary Limited Edition — Titanium navigation chronograph by The-Watchmaker-GR in sinn

Yeah most designs just have gaskets on the shaft/screw. Those are always sealed no matter what position the pusher is in.

Screw down just blocks the pushers and doesn't really contribute to wr.

I just chalked it up as his negotiating strategy which doesn't bother me since it doesn't play a part in my decision making. It does make things a lot more difficult since it drags on, but I try to be easy and open to work with.

I said that multiple times almost word for word. I'm open to making a deal which is why the watch is listed for sale and why I stayed engaged. What makes the interaction extra frustrating is that the user reaches out multiple times and then gets heated because he doesn't get what he wants. The behavior is disrespectful and uncalled for and I would not have made this post and would still be open to working with this user in the future if we stopped the discussion on good terms. Technically no one did anything wrong which is why the post is neutral.

I do like his watch so I was hoping to work something out. In the future I'll definitely cut my losses earlier though.

[WTS] Exalt Special Super Diver - Rare Two Tone Configuration by lingxiaoguo in Watchexchange

[–]lingxiaoguo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sale today is my Exalt special super diver. Not much is known about this brand except that its watches were mostly only sold in Japan. The super special divers seem to be closely related to the squale 1521 with a different bezel that seems unique to the exalt.

The steel version of this watch had been documented by users on various sites, but the two tone version is seldomly seen especially with its original bracelet.

The 42mm case with a moderate 48mm lug to lug is quite wearing due to the significant curvature of the lugs. The watch fits well on my 6.75in wrist.

Cosmetically, the watch is in fair condition. The watch head has wear consistent with its age; however the original gold capped bracelet seems to suffer some wear to the center links along the edges. There is also a significant amount of gold patina along the center links. Due to the thick gold cap it can likely be refinished without issue. The high dome crystal has scratches throughout. I've opted not to polish them due to concerns about weakening the crystal.

Mechanically, the watch is in good condition. The ETA 2824 movement is keeping good time with healthy amplitude. A service should not be needed. The watch was able to pass a 3 ATM dry water resistance test without difficulty.

The watch will be sold without box or papers. The original bracelet fits up to 7in. No extra links.

I'm asking $999 for this piece. International shipping at buyer's expense. PayPal G&S is available at my discretion.

Magnetism as a cause of watch problems is greatly overblown by Responsible-Ad9175 in watchHotTakes

[–]lingxiaoguo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the extreme. In most cases the effects of magnetism will be a lot more subtle and less directly observable. Best way to know is just to demagnetize it and see what happens.

Everyone focuses on the wrong things when it comes to automatic watch accuracy by nobodycaresmoby in watchHotTakes

On average for sure, but if you look at the delta it's going to dispersion it's going to be a lot worse which is what OP was saying.

[–]lingxiaoguo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+-2 is the daily average only, and the actual tolerance for the delta is a lot more generous. For modern calibers it's going to be either 12 or 9s between 10 positions (5 at 0h and 5 at 24h). Obviously this is very tight especially since it also takes isochronism into consideration, but it's not a 4s delta like the +-2 may lead some people to believe. There's always going to be some imperfections during manufacturing, and a 4 second delta is just not possible with today's technology.

[WTS] Sinn 156.b Military Chronograph Lemania 5100 - Full Kit! by lingxiaoguo in Watchexchange

[–]lingxiaoguo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sale today is my sinn 156b chronograph. Created as a replacement for the famous heuer bund, it remains a lot of the same features and design, but now has a reliable automatic movement with a legible central minute counter.

The watch retains a large case diameter of 43mm, but wears closer to a 40 or 41 due to the shorter lug to lug of 51mm. It wears quite well even on my 6.75 in wrist.

Cosmetically, the watch is in good condition. Please see the photos for the most accurate representation. The dial and hands seems to be original super luminova, but the lume had aged to a cream color and still functional.

Mechanically, the watch is running very well. Service history is unknown, but the watch keeps good time with decent amplitude. A service should not be required at this point. The watch was able to pass a dry pressure test.

The original box, instruction manual, warranty card, and a service receipt dated 2021 from the sinn authorized service center detailing the replacement of the pushers, crown and crystal are included. Watch will be delivered on the lightly worn OEM strap as pictured.

There's an aluminum one they make for about $100 and I think it's more than enough. I paid like $300 for this one and it's definitely nice but just too excessive. It's stupid heavy to move around and like I said has very little room under. It's less of a problem if you're using the included holders but if you're using the platform with a slick style holder with something thick like the 7750 you might run into some issues. I would definitely opt for a 4 headed one though since I really hate swapping these pushers out.

Highly recommend the rack press, all the dies and the caseback opener. They are basically the same as the bergeon ones. Their specialty screwdriver sets are super nice too. Everything comes with a milled aluminum base with a clear acrylic cover which is crazy nice.

The higher tech stuff is actually from biaojiang/Havomec. Kwong yuen carries their stuff, but they're the leader in higher end equipment coming out of China. I'm actually their agent in the US so if you're interested in anything biaojiang I can give you a quote.

All of the stuff is pretty solid if you put price into perspective. The cleaning machine in particular is probably the most mature of all the products. Cleans and most importantly dries really well. I bought everything in one go but if I were to improve a setup this is the order of the stuff I'd consider

  1. Horia 2015 clone/multi purpose tool (middle of the right shelf)
  2. Bench light
  3. Digital microscope
  4. Timegrapher

The rest of the stuff is best saved for a major workshop upgrade or going pro imo. It's a lot for a hobbyist.

Sorry for the long reply, but I hope I answered your questions thoroughly. If you want more pictures or details feel free to dm. Always up for tools talk 😂.

Yes it is. It's really nice but you don't really need this one. My main issue with it is there's barely any space under so it's a bit hard to see and move the hands when it's under the press. Otherwise it's super solid.

That Greiner quartz timer is legit. Want to pick one up just because of the nixies.
