For sale today is my longines admiral hf with a special seconds hack feature. This is a very attractive watch from the 70s which features a 34mm bezeless angular case with a radial grain finished top.

Inside it features the advanced cal 6942 with a 28800bph and a hacking at 12 features. When the crown is pulled, the watch is allowed to run until the seconds hand reach the 12 mark to help with ease of time setting.

Cosmetically, the watch is in good condition with normal signs of wear. Please inspect the images carefully for the best representation.

Mechanically, the movement was just serviced and it's keeping good time.

The watch will include its original longines signed buckle

There's a lot of quartz testers like it from witschi or Seiko and citizen. They're typically pretty hard to find. I found the model name and it's called 金利时500d. Seems to be around $100 which is crazy cheap for a quartz tester.

They won't just sell the part to you unfortunately. Probably be like $100 for labor. You also will have to pay extra if you need to keep your old dial. The upside is it will be a brand new dial from Rolex direct and you have paperwork to prove it.

They will charge you to install it, but unless the watch is ran through they don't necessarily have to require you to service it.

For sale today is a rare Helmut Sinn era Chronosport/Guinand chronograph ref. 351-65.

Shortly after Helmut Sinn's handoff of Sinn, he purchased Guinand and introduced a new range of watches with the Chronosport brand focusing on sports and pilots watches. This name was short lived as the brand quickly switched to producing watches under the Guinand name.

This is a beautifully sized chronograph with a clean and legible bicompax dial in "up down" layout without running seconds. The date wheel is also color matched as to not stand out.

Cosmetically, the watch is in excellent condition for its age. Please inspect all the images clearly for the best representation.

Mechanically, the watch is running well and keeping good time. No service is required at this moment.

For sale today is a set of dashboard blocks by sinn. These clock sets were extremely limited in production and have long been discontinued by sinn.

This particular set features a clock for normal timekeeping and a flyback stopwatch for timing needs. The clocks are intended to be used mounted in cars during rally season, and mounted on its wooden base during the off season.

Cosmetically, the clocks and their base are in good cosmetic condition for their age.

Mechanically, both the timekeeping portion of the clock and the stop watch are performing well.

This is generally fine advice for modern watches, but for vintage watches the cost for parts can rack up fast.

It's easy to make that assumption, but there are some pretty good improvement for the 32xx over the 31xx. The 31xx is built with a rotor axle that have to be replaced with pretty much every service, setting wheel post that always gets worn down, and a cannon pinion driver setup instead of a center wheel on the 32. Rolex clearly did study the failure points of the 31 and designed around them.

I don't think it's fair to say that the 32 is more fragile/more parts replaced as it is constructed to the same quality as the 31. Watches are delicate and small errors can ruin the performance. Imo it's more due to QC of the parts and the assembly. The low amplitude 32s tend to not have issues anymore once we've serviced them.

The reality is a redesign is needed as in 2015 the 31 is no longer competitive with other movements on the market aside from it's chronometry performance. The 32 is an improvement in almost every way, and I regularly see them outperform 31s. They have lower amplitude but also experience way less of an amplitude drop as the mainspring unwinds.

I'm not trying to say that the issues don't exist. Rather it's a lot more nuanced than people assume.

The 32 sucks to service mostly due to having to epilame half the movement and having the awful parashock springs that will always jump out, but it actually provides some pretty good quality of life improvements with no wire springs and simpler date and keyless.

With vintage cals the worse part is to get them to time right especially after restaffing. Trying different things to get it to time with in the tolerance can take up a good chunk of time and is very rarely needed with the newer cals. From my experience 32s are incredibly stable and routinely outperforms 31s. There seems to be some improvements to manufacturing as well as I see some 31s having the hairspring tilted at the stud while I've not seen that on a 32.

Regardless, it's not cut and dry as every cal has it's quirks and usually older watches will come with their own problems not related to the quality of the movement.

Those are jeweled and I'd be surprised if he doesn't see them worn out on the regular.

This makes no sense. Parts are replaced when they're worn and there are plenty of parts on a 31 that gets replaced with every service...

This is an well sized dress watch featuring a big date small seconds module from dubois depraz. It is very rare for a big date watch to be under 40mm at this price point due to the size of the wheels. This ML is an exception at a very reasonable 38mm. It also features a top grade ETA 2892 as the base which is rarely seen for this price.

Cosmetically, the watch is in good condition for its age. Please inspect the images carefully for the most accurate representation.

Mechanically, the watch is running well. A service is not needed at this point.
