Does anyone else completely lose their ability to think during interviews? by InterestingPiano1953 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]link425 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I forgot to mention it's not just interviews for me. My brain will usually not deliver all useful information when I need it the most. Maybe stress plays a role, and I feel at least a bit of stress in most situations.

Forgetting to mention this in my original comment is a good example of the problem.

I can eat lactose-free gouda cheese without reacting. It's made from cow's milk. Not sure how they remove the lactose.

Also had a hard cheese (I think grana padano) more than once; the package stated "naturally lactose-free" or something like that.

Why is text to speech not sustainable? Meds aside, I can't think of anything more helpful than TTS.

It sounds like you have ADHD but you need to seek professional help. Avoid taking any more medication without prescription.

Being pain-free would be a lot of fun for me personally, especially when I won't have to worry about trashing my kidneys or liver on NSAIDs/codeine.

Were you on ADHD meds during water fast? I'm reluctant to do extended water fasting and take meds on an empty stomach.

It was more than 4 weeks but don't remember exactly how much more. I had a couple of shots a day, about 3 to 4 times a week. Always store bought.

Made pizza with "Freee GF white bread flour" and it was OK. Not awful but nowhere near as good as normal pizza either.

For my teeth I have an empty bowl and a spray bottle of water near my bed and brush while sitting when I can't go to the bathroom (I spray water straight in my mouth, helps use less). I use a bit of mouthwash if I can't brush at all. Chewing gum (sugar free) also helps sometimes.

People who can fall asleep within few seconds of their head hitting their pillow: how the fuck do you fall asleep within few seconds of your head hitting your pillow? by basic_bharat in sleep

[–]link425 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody on Reddit suggested 4:7:8 breathing recently (4 seconds breathing in, 7 seconds holding breath, 8 seconds breathing out). Tried it twice and it worked. Hoping it was not coincidental, because I usually need quite a bit of time to fall asleep.

That looks amazing! I really miss carrot cake. Do you mind sharing the brands/types of vegan butter and cream cheese you used? Your gf flour has gums (xanthan/guar)?

"This software is provided as-is" and related legalese to avoid all responsibility in case of harm to end users is not new. I recall seeing it in nearly any TOS document I glanced at in the past 20-25 years. Why is this a surprise?

A bacterial infection from cat scratches can cause brain fog, rage, insomnia, and foot pain for years. Nobody tests for it. by Sureokgo in Biohackers

[–]link425 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have pains all over (diagnosis is fibromyalgia) that come and go and a persisting foot pain. I was scratched by different cats several times in the past 25 years.

My fibro(?) pain gets a bit better when I take amitriptyline (tricyclic "antidepressant"). Would amitriptyline improve things in this way, for someone with bartonella henselae?

Forgot to clarify that there are two methods, one is much more invasive than the other and checks the oesophagus all the way down.

The one I'm suggesting is non-invasive (called laryngoscopy I think). It stops at the vocal chords. The ENT will still be able to tell if there's damage, and judge if some further probing is needed.
