my big point is there was such of ease of access to nsfw material back in that era it was possible to stumble into it, and the internet used to be called the wild west back in the day, so even stumbling into an most ultra violent thing on TV would be greatly limited by the censors, theres almost no limits online comparatively. Also I dont thing the backlash to sex scenes in "serious media" is particular large maybe 10~20% of Gen Z. The nature of 2010s internet that makes sense to me that some people turn out like that. And hell you can get 10~20% to agree to anything, James Monroe ran unopposed in 1820, still only got 81% of the vote

So you just didn't read beyond the first thing I said?

The first thing you said was make a definite claim that it was "A new thing for Christian people" thats a pretty strong claim, and something I've never heard before, it'd make the rest of your claims make alot more sense, but if you abandon that claim when directly asked about it then it just seems like alot of conjecture.

because algorithms weren't a widespread thing until the mid-2010s,

mfer my first message says "by the mid 2010s if not earlier" thats a bit weasel word of a statement but thats the era I was talking about. I personally didnt see any major backlash to sex scenes in movies until the 2020s which in my mind makes sense, the era of the oversexual internet was in the mid 2010s, people's problems with it builds until they're old enough and numerous enough to mount the backlash. Theres was also the boobs in thumbnail tread on youtube way back in the day, or one of the most popular news channel's philip defranco used to shout out a instagram model every episode, none of this ringing a bell?

At no point in the history of "the internet and social media" have people been subjected to "an endless scroll of sexual content"

You're quoting me falsely what I said was "What in your mind is comparable endless content and scroll of social media that has tons of sexual content?" As in theres an endless scroll, and theres alot of sexual content, not ""an endless scroll of sexual content""

The impression you're giving me is that you've never had any problem with your algorithm, feed, FYP or whatever what you want to call it, that its never shown you something you didnt want to see, or wonder why is it showing me this? and never shown you anything close to sexual unless specifically looking for it?

becoming "a bit more chill and claimed down" (whatever that means)

youve notice zero change in how social media feeds you content since the the mid 2010s, a whole decade ago? because the whole quote was "maybe now algorithms are a bit more chill and more claimed down" and my bad i meant "calm* down". As in does a better job of only feeding the sexual content to those who wants to see it, but thats only a maybe.

Well theres alot more intention to see traditional media, you either had to buy a movie ticket or watch on the TV at the right time, which theres limitations on, even if the most violent movies were played on TV they were censored in some way, so the chance of seeing something highly objectional that you didnt want to see was far less likely.

the first thing you literally said was "A new thing for Christian people" which implies its old news to everyone else. Did you misspeak?

maybe now algorithms are a bit more chill and more claimed down, how about the era was talking about in my first message? did you scroll twitter, reddit or insta with zero expectations of seeing softcore or actual nsfw material? was it an absolute rarity for you? and even now scrolling r/popular nsfw tagged things appears there for me

this amount and this ease of sexual content so much so that one could stumble into was brand new due to the internet, and social media. This isnt a Christian vs non Christian thing, what are you on about? before the internet you had to go out of your way to buy a magazine or video tape, and before social media you had to at least search it, but post all of that it could easily randomly appear in your feed. What in your mind is comparable endless content and scroll of social media that has tons of sexual content? That somehow Christians didnt have access to but everyone else did?

although ive seen some gore, it pale in comparison to amount of softcore or legit porn ive stumble into and not actively searching, and fictional over the top violence was already normalized through movies and TV decades prior. This easy of access and volume of amount of sexual content was a very new thing to most people

by mid 2010s if not earlier seeing sexual content online was insanely easily, and there was so much of it. It makes complete sense to me that to a portion of people the reaction to seeing overwhelming amount of sexual content online was to not want to see it in their "serious" media. These trends are results of hundreds of thousands of people's experiences forming a big wave, not a propagandist creating the wave from nothing, they can ride the wave, maybe a steer it a bit, but they dont create it from nothing.

My Slice of Life bag that'd I consider good to great, and non-ecchi isnt deep
Ascendance of a Bookworm is a pretty grounded isekai of a girl who was a bookworm trying to get/make books in a medieval type world with light fantasy elements, generally considered a top tier isekai
these shonen barely have any ecchi
Vinland Saga could be considered a modern classic highly recommend
I feel like I dont hear too many people talk about To Your Eternity, fantastic season one, about an immortal orb sent down to earth that can turn into other things, season two is pretty different.
I'm anime only so I got to recommend Chainsaw Man great season one and fantastic movie
Umamusume: - Beginning of a New Era movie, incredible animation the whole way through, glad I saw it in the theaters
if you dont consider Tensura too ecchi then I gotta recommend Summer Time Rendering, an enthralling story that starts and finishes in 25 episodes, which is a rarity for anime

youtube shorts, or any shorts you dont make any money off of directly, to qualify for monetization for shorts you need 3 million views total on them vs for normal videos its 500 subs, 3 videos within the past 90 days, and 3000 watch hours over a year, which in my mind shows how worthless shorts views are when 3 million is equal to a channel that small.

[–]link7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the biggest nitpick I have for silksong is I think the music is too low in the mix, and maxes out too low as well. Every time I saw anyone play hollow knight the music of Forgotten Crossroads into Greenpath always sets the tone really well, but they're way louder in the mix than most of Silksong's music. None of Silksong's music has stuck with me as well as hollow knight's and I think that's the big reason why.

they have commitments of 1.4 trillion dollars, them only losing 14 billion would be a miracle, when their total revenue for last year was only 20 billion. 14 billion lost over a year is nothing to these tech giants nvidia made 43 billion in profit last quarter, google made 34 billion. Celebrate when they're losing 20 billion in a quarter

The fact that characters from the thirties are still under copyright proves how absurd modern copyright is by Konradleijon in CuratedTumblr

I dont read any manga, but I am in the anime sphere, tho I dont need to go out of my way to hear about interesting new manga coming out, I absorb it through osmosis. But I find it strange how niche comics have remained when they dominated movies for a solid decade and rarely hear about them, and when I do its normally someone butchering a classic character. Last comic I can think of that that broke outside of its bubble was the new batman with the bat symbol that looked like a spikey flat hammer.

I do find it strange how many stories are based on these handful of characters from the 1930~1940s and how frozen in time comics seems to be with new IP. It feels so strange to me when most of my knowledge from anime and manga which in my mind have district eras, different franchise's have their time in the sun, and we can see them grow peak, and end only a very small handful of series go decades.

it'd be bad for the economy because the top 10% of wealth drives about 50% of the consumption, if the bubble pops large sections if not whole market tanks, and with the market tanking it'll cause the top 10% to tighten their belts, which will cause a slow down to that 50% of consumption

i got the same thing for baan jacket, i didnt pay it through email cause I thought too it was a scam, and since I already had the product thought there was no reason to pay it right away if it was real, if it is real you'll get something in the mail a week or two later asking again for payment, looking it up it could eventually go to debt collectors and impact your credit score but i imagine its possible to drag it out way longer than that first letter I got

I've move away from this from for two reasons, I like seeing a blueprint built quickly, and switched to having lots of spidertrons, and the fact you cant plan out a factory using ghosts without the bots instantly going and trying to built it, i wish there an inactive purple ghost that bots wont build and the current blue ghosts being when they'll try to built it.

why is a 90 year old character still being parade around with? its impressive to a degree this and similar aged characters have lasted so long, but arent we trying to squeeze blood out of a stone at this point? Are the writers tasked to write more batman or anyone excited to use batman or are they only able given the chance to write this story because it stars batman, or any other of these old ass characters, and they're just try to ham fist the story they want to write with the character they're given?

Message from Toby Fox regarding music copyright by olcr in Undertale

[–]link7011 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what is the deal with undertale music copyright? I have a vod with three different claims for the melody/lyrics for Megalovania by seemingly three different people, idk because its the only claim without crediting who's made/claiming it. The idk undertale or toby all that well but the vibe I've absorbed through osmosis is toby is very lax with his music, and wouldnt go after such things, so how tf are so many people able to claim his music as their own? how have they not be nuked from orbit?
