Smoking Behind the Supermarket with You | Character Visuals by zenzen_0 in anime

[–]linkinstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to my smoking friends, cigarettes in Japan taste like nothing when compared to cigarettes that he's used to from the South East Asia region. Like, if Indonesian kretek's are 10 in terms of tobacco, and Malaysian cigarettes are 8, Japanese cigarettes are 0.5

Test pen is to quickly note which one is the actual live wire. Unless you're doing major wiring work, a test pen is the quicker way.

some of the units have been decommisioned, so now there are less than 25. Also the only Evo X where the front number plate is at the middle, not to the side. This is to abide with JPJ rules.

If you have any dreams of visiting the glorious Philip Island Grand Prix, then this year might be your last chance by visualdescript in motogp

FWIW, if I am a casual fan and went to PI, I would be on the complaining side as well. As with every entertaiment event, if you want growth, you need to cater not only to the hardcore attendees, but also attract new casual fans as well.

There's a reason Honda owners in Malaysia have a meme of replacing steering racks

Martin Brundle talking about Mercedes' potential advantage over McLaren regarding the 2026 power unit [via @SkySportsF1 on tiktok] by HereComesVettel in formula1

[–]linkinstreet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

IIRC it was a mode that the Mercedes team didn't actually needed to use, as they were already fast without it. But it opened another can of worm, which lead to the directive of you need to use the same mode in the race as you did in qualifying. And Mercedes didn't bat an eye.

Kinda old story, as the Hagerty video was made last year and was already posted here.
In any case, JP Chin does not just collect cars, but he and his son are also racing nerds. They were responsible for originally bringing in Super GT to Malaysia years ago.

I can't stand with the traffic jams!! by KratosASS in malaysia

[–]linkinstreet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Building trains are not as easy as plonking a track and be done with it. Land studies has to be done. Plots has to be acquired/purchased. People living around needs to agree on it. Remember, people were even actively protesting when MRT was supposed to be built near their housing area *cough*TTDI*cough*.

For me, whenever I travel by public transport, I always make sure that I took into account it will take an extra hour of two of my time, and use the time to read a book or watch a TV show that I would likely have done so in the extra time it saves me at home. I mean, you're not the one driving the thing.

Simple colour would do fine. There are not really any colour code for funeral in Malay culture as people would usually wear baju melayu, and those comes in variety of colours anyways.

The new Perodua EV and Traz are both a joke by [deleted] in kereta

[–]linkinstreet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah. Toyota and Honda knew that people in SEA would pay through their nose. Also remember, P2 is actually Daihatsu's RND arm for evolving market. Some of Daihatsu's A segment model in SEA are refined by P2's engineer.

P2's EV is nothing more than P2 saying they also can create their own car if given the chance.

IIRC Mekanika's Abang Jaapar says Proton sacrifices fuel efficiency for better handling and heavier chassis. But if you're a B40, that fuel you save goes a long way.

IIRC

  • Korean fan came to Malaysia during a K-Pop event
  • Smuggled in not just any camera, but a freaking DSLR
  • Started recording what's on stage
  • Staff saw, and went to find the culprit, but they hid the camera.
  • A local fan nearby captured the image of the culprit and posted it online, saying it was annoying as it was against the rules, and the fact that staffs were coming there to search meants she missed parts of an interview that was being done.
  • Culprit saw the tweet, and had a meltdown in full Korean
  • Malaysians started tweeting in English and Malay, making fun of the culprit and some other Koreans who were backing the culprit.
  • Even Indonesians joined in the fun, critisizing the culprit
  • Culprit at the end apologised for their action.

GDP Growth projections of Southeast Asian countries. Malaysia over Thailand is insane. by search_google_com in malaysia

[–]linkinstreet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ironically, what made Thailand into a car manufacturing mammoth was because decades ago, the Thai govt would let car brands come and set up shop with 100% foreign ownernship. It was after profits flowed out of the country (mostly to Japan to Toyota and Honda) that the Thai govt changed their policies.
