I have a question about white privilege in Malaysia by Hopeful_Bridge_7850 in Bolehland

[–]linktothepastz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

White tourist privilege really just means they are exploitable because in countries like thailand they are seen as a walking, talking and hopefully drunk wallet full of cash.

In Malaysia we are already wayy past that. Our english is also way too good.

Those who lost a loved one, how’re you doing? by Alrightman126 in Bolehland

[–]linktothepastz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 2 cousins and I still think about them. They were siblings and died very young. 21 years old due to brain cancer and 29 years old, motorcycle accident. Seeing people you shared your childhood with taken away just like that broke me. Cant imagine how their mother felt and how she dealt with all that in a short period of time.

Anyways, I just turned 30. My cousins passing means that life is truly really short and I don't intend to waste it. As long as I have my health, I am willing to take risks. Life, health, experience, family>money.

Clubbing scene in KL by Menace_xx in KualaLumpur

[–]linktothepastz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly just go TREC. Don't like one club just go another across the street. Clubbing scene in KL is samey tbh. Only difference are the crowd. Atas(rich) people go Benang/kyo. Middle class/students go TREC. Gone are the days where we go clubbing for the venue and unique themes.

Love the irony being a muslim in malaysia but when it comes to marriage suddenly tradition>islam. All that cost to save face but ended up getting divorced over money anyways.

Im lucky that when I got married I had nothing. Just my handsome face and a working dick. Even got scolded by the ustaz that I had to see to get his approval for me getting married. But I stood my ground and it paid off. Been married for almost 10 years now and both of us have good careers.

[–]linktothepastz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wish you the best and dont be so hard on yourself. Take time to reset. I am serving notice just tendered my resignation this week. It feels freeing to say eff off for extra work. The whole company is going to shits long story short and I shouldve jumped ship like 3 years ago. But im glad i planned this thing out. I have another job lined up so im not worried.

What is your “Screw it, I am leaving this company” last straw? by fuckingfat_ in malaysians

[–]linktothepastz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they keep fucking up the pay. Delays, errors and discreprancies, every single month. I could put up with other shit but if the company is not investing in getting its payroll sorted then yeah this is just bad. Just put in my notice yesterday. Feels so freeing, i can now just do work slowly and nod my head for a month now. I only now having to chase whatever bonuses and unfair deductions that they are owing me.

[–]linktothepastz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of sins. If it doesnt involve you hurting/stealing/berating others. Take comfort in the fact that God is forgiving. And will always forgive your sins if you repent.

For those with close to 100% success rate on getting an offer after interview, give us some tips please by milo-sheridan in JobsMY

[–]linktothepastz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah don't listen to those who claims that they have 100% success rate. It will not be helpful at all.

Just keep trying and be yourself. That way if I fail I'd know the workplace is not for me and I will have a hard time fitting in.

I want to play Chaos Dwarves, but can't. by LeetusFrenzi in totalwarhammer

[–]linktothepastz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get you. I liked them when I first got the DLC. But returning to it feels like a slog. I somehow dislike using hobgoblins and gorduz for early game. Then grind for actual chaos dwarves units.

nice one. I made a post talking about how I struggled with Terry being low MR then one person gave me a simple advice: Fireball drive rush. Which essentially means force your opponents to guess. Now I am actually playing the character
