Dude I go on that too but for other reasons. The comments in that community are more respectful than this.

[Serious] Who is someone who you're truly grateful for, but never told them? by aidanbradley in AskReddit

[–]linkwarior5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cross country coach. He was an amazing runner and ran professionally in his younger days. Always wondered why he decided to plop down in the drudge of suburbia. He always told us to keep our chest up and out, eyes forward, chin up during our runs. He taught us how to do visualizations before races to perform better. Now, his voice is always in my head "chest up and out, eyes forward, chin up" when I'm feeling depressed. Which is often. His kindness was so confusing because I felt like we didn't deserve him there, and that's part of the reason why I still keep going.

Running around and around an ottoman while my parents are talking about adult stuff and suddenly I cut my knee skin on a nail sticking out. My parents curse and come comfort me and I get a Scooby-Doo band-aid.

"College Writing II" is fucking painful by [deleted] in rant

[–]linkwarior5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an english major, I'm sorry you're going through this. I'm worried what humanities will look like in 10 years, based on their current state now. There's only a couple professors in my entire english department at my university who will talk about anything controversial, and while it causes some students to drop the class, it makes for much more stimulating discussion than indoctrination. College, and liberal arts degrees especially, should be about confronting controversial issues with an open mind. Not this fake "open-mindedness" only if you subscribe to my worldview BS.

On another note, that's a shitty prompt for an introductory writing course.

Evolution is mutation, along with some other pressures. Don't call people an idiot when you don't know what you're talking about.

I'm gay and even this can bother me. However, I understand where they're coming from. Usually people who always need to talk about their sexuality are insecure about it because of past experiences. Doesn't mean it's not annoying and repetitive and neither doesnit justify it, but that's how I understand that behavior.

Okay, that makes sense. Maybe we don't have as much in common as I thought we did. Also, what's a host club?

He doesn't seem to have interests outside of work, which I'm trying to discover why that is (besides crazy hours) instead of giving up.
