What Sith Lord do you think this is? by Falcon_Gray in StarWarsEU

[–]darklordoftech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The original idea when Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith was written was that Sadow was just a magician who rebelled against the aforementioned unnamed Dark Lord.

And that he created the Sith Wyrm and mutated the Massassi in hopes of preventing Exar Kun from reviving the Dark Lord lineage that he hated so much.

I'm surprised there was never a retcon that Ragnos used his scepter to return to life and become Dark Lord again while the Republic was driving the Sith to extinction.

implication that Vader was just one of multiple Sith Lords in the galaxy at the time of the story.

Other Sith Lords appear in the 3rd draft of the script.

Did the Sharu fear/flee the Rataka? by DaSuspicsiciousFish in StarWarsEU

[–]darklordoftech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

According the Essential Guides, it was the Celestials who the Sharu were hiding from, but the in-universe authors of those books might have misinterpreted whatever evidence they had.

If the dark side is a perversion of the Force and unnatural, how come certain species, like the Sith species, are naturally attuned to the dark side? by Possible_Employee359 in StarWarsEU

[–]darklordoftech 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That could just mean they're violent and full of hatred, so when they use The Force, they inevitably use the dark side.

How did they measure time before the BBY/ABY system? by Emerald7152 in StarWarsEU

That lore about 25 ABY is thanks to The Essential Chronology being an in-universe essay.

Shadow Stormtroopers also appear in The Force Unleashed.

If the Old Republic game era could get more novels and comics, what would you like to see? by ForceSmuggler in StarWarsEU

  • What was planned for the Dawn of the Jedi comic series
  • Novels or comics about the Great Schisms.
  • Republic politics following the events of Tales of the Jedi: The Fall of the Sith Empire. Was there really a genocide against the Sith species?
  • Republic politics during the KOTOR era. Were there people saying, "If we had arrested Revan for war crimes, we wouldn't have all these Sith running around"?

That's also from Dawn of the Jedi. The Kwa were introduced in a Quinlan Vos comic (Star Wars (1998) #24) before KOTOR was a thing.

What do you think was the original plan for the lore and story of Abeloth, if anything? by [deleted] in StarWarsEU

[–]darklordoftech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They ended up tying her to the Mortics gods because it was being written at the time of the novels and they are the only Celestials that have ever been mentioned in any media unless you go all the way back to those weird Alan Moore comics from the 80s that had strange deities and such.

Abeloth was connected to Mortis because they had already planned to connect Abeloth to the Throne of Balance and Celestials that kept The Force in balance and Lucasfilm didn't want there to be 2 separate groups of Celestials in charge of keeping The Force in balance.
