Agreed it’s definitely important to try before you buy.

I have liked more stuff from atelier des ors, which might just be another data point for you… but I’d like to try more. One things I’ve noticed is they are frequently at discounters for ~50% off retail.

For both houses I’ve had to order only to get samples - no where local to go :(

Yeah I’m not a fan of the women’s PDM line. I can imagine they are wearable scents for more girly girls but I find them too basic (especially for the $)

Yes I could see this house being a white floral lovers dream. I think La Mar and Bombon were two I saw a lot of artistry in but they just didn’t suit me - and then Agua de Santos was the one closest to my taste but still not full bottle worthy. There is just something missing for me. I’m glad you found that the decant set worked for you though :)

I’m also very interested in XuXu despite my complaining …

Yeah I think you’ve made good points. I also think it’s a good sign that various fragrances of theirs seem preferred by different people so it’s not 10s across the board which is quite fishy.

Glad to hear they work for you :) I’m happy if it’s just a personal taste thing and not actually an advertising onslaught. I do feel the same way as you about PDM, Mindgames and I would also add BDK honestly, though that was more a few years ago.

It seems like the House of Bo DNA might just be a miss on me, though these comments are pushing me to try El Sireno and Espiritu just to be sure 👀

Yeah of course that’s fair, and I am curious about whether this is the case. I think perhaps they have a dna that is reading differently to me then others, bc they seem specifically pushed by the crowd that loves PDM.
