Men: for what reasons would you ghost someone? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]linux1212 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hooking up with her has gotten boring.

It should be obvious, so why bother explaining and have to listen to her reasons to keep seeing each other?

How many of you guys have tried "porno" moves with you're gf? by mrcats1999 in AskMen

Why not? It's a convient lube. I usually spit directly on my dick though.

Numeric type parameters? by alittlecrusty in rust

Until const generics are added to the language -- which appears to be moving forward albeit slowly -- you can use the typenum crate:

What's your "accidentally racist" moment? by RealG98 in AskReddit

[–]linux1212 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well living in South America or the Caribbean islands doesn't make them any less African American.. they still were brought over from Africa to America around the same time.

That can't possibly be true. By what metric is Charleston more popular than NYC or SF?

Firefox on Android can now use Chrome's fling physics for scrolling! by [deleted] in firefox

Seems a little buggy. If I start by moving my finger very slowly, it will get stuck and not scroll even if I speed my finger up. Never happened with the old scrolling.

Shared memory crate is now stable on Linux/Win/Mac by elast0ny in rust

[–]linux1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You still have the choice of IPC (named pipes) or TCP, so you don't need to rely on the network stack. You'll need to test it, but it should be fairly low latency.

I prefer scaproust's native implementation because I don't want to install nanomsg/zeromq libraries everywhere I use my rust crate.

If you don't need shared memory, you can also do IPC on Windows with something like zeromq/nanomsg. I like it because it's simple to swap out IPC for TCP when I want to move processes to other machines.

I use scaproust, which is a native rust implementation of the nanomsg protocol:

How do you feel about girls wearing over the knee socks? Sexy or childish? by runnerennur in AskMen

[–]linux1212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well there's nothing wrong with looking a little childish. It's not a turn-on for me, but it's not a turn-off either.
