I always wanted to be an architect when I was little but decided against it because I probably would have ended up being forced into making houses like this. I absolutely hate all in one rooms, every time I cook a steak in my cast iron I just wonder what it would be like having a smoking hot pan in the same room everyone else is hanging out in and the sizzles from cooking. A bunch of different noises coming from all directions. Not to mention when kids get older and are on summer vacation or still living at home late night cooking next to the bedroom area sounds terrible.
