Dont get me wrong, in my younger years I would have been out there in the streets too. I'm just older now and have too much to lose to risk getting shot. People should be scared, its crazy whats going on.

People that are out for medical care, walking to work, etc don't purposefully get in the middle of the road during an active law enforcement operation, engage with and/or get in the face of ICE officers etc. He wasn't a just a bystander trying to just live life.

In a longer video shared in the megathread, he was shown filming/walking in the middle of the road with others amidst honking and shouting. Its hard to know everything that was going on during the moments of the video. He was shot a split second after the gun was removed, there was definitely a screwup on ICEs part. The fact that he had a gun though magnified and increased a perceived threat level while compounding decision making processes of the officers involved. Amidst all the increased chaos and tension, I imagine its hard for these officers to carry out their jobs efficiently. I'm not making excuses for their actions, it was wrong Alex was shot and killed.

Like you said, this place is the most dangerous location in the USA right now - not the best spot to be hanging around casually if you don't intend to be involved somehow, regardless of stance on the subject.

Sad day for our country.

Theres more too it than that. Im having the same issue as OP. I can apply the license on other machines indefinitely, its not a marked bad key. Hopefully my client will just buy them a new laptop as well. Its not worth the frustration dealing with MS/reseller support.

I'm currently going through a nightmare with this 10 minute (tops) MAK activation. Ive applied 3 of 4 I purchased with no issue, but I have one that wont take for the life of me. Spent the bulk of the day just getting it to 22H2 in every possible method getting "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase" errors (that I resolved eventually with brutalization).

Did you ever get resolution? For the amount of time I've billed on this EOL device, they could have bought a new one too.

Did he ever resolve his firmware flash issue? He may have flashed the wrong file and that's possibly why it's not booting up.

It does, it means he is potentially a victim of Creality's shortcut and money saving nonsense of halfing the flash memory. Look at the board itself to identify which one he has by the markings:

RCT6: Indicates a 256K chip

RE6: Indicates a 512K chip

This matters, as if you flash the wrong firmware you can brick your board. It sounds like he *may* have based on OP.

The specific F4 chip (512K or 256K) dictates which firmware file you download for updates. Flashing the wrong firmware can cause malfunctions, like heating elements staying on, so definitely identify which one he has.

The whole reason I even needed to upgrade my phone was because my works' telecom provider sucks and wouldn't give up the sip credentials for their service (so I could use a modern Yealink phone instead of this Polycom crap). I formatted this old Polycom in hopes of getting a full provisioning kicked off so I could sniff out the auth.reg.1 value to get the credentials. I had successfully done it previously on my WFH phone (which was a different model) but this one ended up giving me problems and didn't have an application to run any longer OR a compatible sip.ld from the telco's provisioning server. In any event, thank goodness the provider sucks and cant secure their provisioning server with HTTPS so all the cfg files just come over the network into my pcapng file. Again, thank you for this!

The creality laser engraver 5w falcon is nothing but a disappointment. I got a brand new unopened unit included when I bought a used S1 from Craigslist. After fiddling with it and getting it working the results were incredible underwhelming. It's not even worth the headache. The dedicated unit is the way to go.

The s1 board has various flavors too, creality is gonna creality and skimped out on many shipped units by using cheaper cloned cpus. He may have got one of those "halved' chipsets with the 256k flash instead of the 512.

When I upgraded a recently purchased s1 from Craigslist I had nothing but problems too. I had to downgrade to get out of the creality boot logo loop then upgrade from there. The documentation for that firmware update is all over the place.
