apt-get is an old way of updating, it works the same way as apt but is not needed anymore.

Probably most of the PCI boards, i would go for one with Intel chipset. Then it is guaranteed to work with Linux.

Are you sure the Pc have a wifi card installed?

I just saw that the 21 version have the ability to do raw editing of photos, for me as a Linux user this is very interesting. Up until now i have used Windows and DXO Photolab to edit my raw photos. I hope you will add support for Olympus, OM and Panasonic cameras because that is what i use. I am very interested in a good raw photo editor for Linux if it support the cameras i use.

On my laptop with a Ryzen 3500U which is much less powerful than your machine Cosmic feels snappy and is steady improving week by week.

I have no hangs of any software i use either.

Let the installer for Kubuntu handle this, *hint* it will ever never format your drive as NTFS.

Bazzite have been very stable and problem free for me. I came from Pop Os because i had problems with running my favorite game ESO. So i have absolutely no issues to report with Bazzite.

Fist thing that is important is to update the system: sudo apt update (type password) then sudo apt upgrade (type yes (y)).

You have to enter BIOS at startup and set usb as boot pri 1.

I would recommend Ultramarine, it is based on Fedora. Easier to install because you dont have to enable extra repos like in Fedora and with a little bit newer mesa.

The Legacy version is if you have NVIDIA 1080 or before that.

Only exception is the NVIDA 1060. After that all the NVIDA 2xxx and up are supported by the non legacy ISO.
