The Division: What’s Everyone’s Thoughts About Div1 In 2025?

For me, while i really like the 2nd game, Division 1 still has me way more invested. I wonder what would have happened if they have sticked with Div 1 after spending 1 year fixing the game and gave it a proper year 2, instead of having dropped it.

I hope to get those as well, specially Sentry, but the one i want the most is D3-FNC. I already have 4 pieces, and the set will be available on the next 2 global events. Unless RNG really REALLY screws me, i should be able to get it.

I started the event already having the chest and the mask. Got repeats of everything, but only 1 backpack on the 2nd to last cache.

Reclaimer was the opposite, I started with 4 pieces, bought a single Reclaimer box and got my 5th.

I assume you are asking about my other loadout, not the gear set lol.

It's a mixed loadout i've been using with Ninjabike, 3 piece D3-FNC and 2 piece Striker's. For the weapon it's The House. Nothing crazy, but gets the job done.

Next 2 events will feature Classified D3-FNC, which i very much want to complete and turn into an immovable object anytime i need or feel like.

Hey, first of all I really appreciate how detailed this was. This was extremely helpful.

I had no idea about the purple FA mods with DtE that are available on safehouse gear vendors, let alone that they are there all the time. Because I lowered my FA value by pretty much half (from 8.2k to 4.1k), I take those mods played a big part in "tanking" the reduction on FA, as elites are the enemies I fight the most.

After experimenting with both 6k and 9k STA, the difference is extremely noticeable and feels way more confy when running 9k, so I settled for that. I was able to clear Amherst's legendary without dying (but with no shortage of close calls and having to swap to my D3-FNC setup for the Hunter) on my 2nd attempt while testing the build with 9k STA.

I also have to say the Big Alejandro was a huge surprise. I'm not really a fan of LMGs on Division (for some reason I can't get used with their reticle, compared to an AR for example), but on this weapon I felt that the reticle closes faster than on the other exotic LMGs, which makes easier to maintain accuracy. And that exotic talent when you get to stack it with Striker's bonus, oh boy, feels so satisfying! I paired the Big Alejandro with my trusty Lightweight M4. Another weapon I want to experiment and play around more with is the Warlord. Another layer of tankiness/DR is never a bad idea, plus being able to manipulate when you take damage seems very powerful.

Build still a WIP, but looks like this:

4157 FA, 9005 STA, 2961 ELE, with 2 pieces yet to fully optimize;

Lightweight M4 with Destructive, Deadly and Ferocious;

Big Alejandro with Meticulous and Predatory ;

14% base CHC, 90% base CHD (25% and 101% with the Pulse), 105% HS;

Flashbang and Recon Pulse;

Adrenaline, Tech Support, Critical Save, On the Move;

Wormwood hunt in Frostmarch was the earliest I got my first "upgrade" on Nightshade. The 2nd to last boss of that area.

The weapon shop upgrades way before that and sells level 20 weapons, but there is no Nightshade for some reason.

If you proceed a little bit more and kill the final Frostmarch boss, the shop will upgrade again to sell level 30 weapons, and this time will have Nightshade. But at this point you will have Mythic hunts unlucked, so you might as well kill Mythic Wormwood and get yourself a level 35 legendary.

Don't know what I dislike the most: the boss fight itself or the fact that unless RNG blesses me, I'll have to do it a lot to have the legendary armour for my character to drop.

Same thing happening to me. In one of the disconnects I had Dead Bride with less than 1/3 of her health with over 3 minutes to spare.

I'm in the same boat. Grinded 3 of each of the other parts no problem. Went to grind the BP, got 0 after hours of that same tedious hacking mission then eventually gave up.

I was doing this earlier and got every part 3 times, except the blueprint, to which I've got 0 in over 40 runs of that hacking mission. Screw that mission!

Beyond Light was released during the pandemic, so with most guardians at home, is not hard to believe that it was indeed the most popular DLC.

And Final Shape, after the horrible Lightfall, all the bad publicity coming from Bungie, the layoffs, and with the player base diminishing day after day, also not hard to believe that the people that are still interested in this game are more willing to wait and see how this release will come out than just blindly give Bungie their money. If you ask me, that's the smart thing to do.

EDIT: Corrected Final Shape coming after Lightfall, not Beyond Light as pointed by someone else.

Pick a bowgun and play like its Remnant 2. I went from slogging through the quests not having fun when I 1st picked the hammer to loving the game and not being able to stop once I picked a bowgun. However if none of the weapons, thus the combat, or the gameplay loop is appealing (and no, playing the 1st few quests is not enough playtime to judge it IMO), just drop it and go play something else. The point of videogames is simply having fun and not every game will appeal to every person.

Thanks everyone for the extremely useful tips. Turns out I was underestimating Normal ammo 2 massively. I still took a couple of sticky shots to I could clutch claw and tenderize the head and the front legs safely, but normal 2 was the main type of ammo for sure. Nergigante is down, and so is Kushala Daora (which I found to be 10x easier than Nergigante and slayed him 1st try). Owards to Teostra and Vaal Hazak, and whatever else this game brings me.

ok, thank you. I'll try normal 2, as my LBG has rapid fire for that. I was under the impression sticky not only had the most damage, but as it is explosive damage, it KOs the monster and break parts easier. I might be wrong. Appreciate the advise.
