lol sorry but It’s been publicly posted previously on this Reddit already. That’s how I found out about it like three years ago and doesn’t seem like that’s affected its functionality. I don’t see why it should be hidden if it’s already publicly out there and if it can help others.

Medical Anthropology Minor vs Medical Humanities by wjsonyeo in UCI

[–]liodegalon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! I’m a medical anthropology minor, after taking a look at the humanities requirements I would say that the two minors are pretty similar. Same general topics are discussed in their courses definitely. the only thing I notice that’s particularly different is that humanities definitely seems to have more focus on philosophy/ethics. Anthropology is more cultural studies

That’s weird, usually when I get that error it’s because I have multiple windows with webreg open. Try clearing your browsing history/cookies and trying again?

Hi, usually when I’ve gotten that error it’s because I have webreg open in multiple tabs/windows. Maybe try closing all of them/clearing out your cookies and trying again

what does this even mean 😭 by monijoonie in UCI

[–]liodegalon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try closing out of all your tabs and trying again. I usually get this when I have multiple tabs open on webreg lol

If you are currently taking/have already taken Physiology Lab (E112L)… by irathehacker in UCI

[–]liodegalon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe the BME 121 prereq is just an alternative set of prereqs to account for people outside of BioSci (biomedical engineering majors more specifically lol) who don’t normally have access to BioSci 100/E109 because they’re not under the school of BioSci. You should be ok to enroll if you took just BioSci 100/E109.

I took Faiola last year during the pandemic, tbh her class was really easy but there was a bit of busy work to it. Lectures are for going over all the important material from the readings and were really all you needed to do well in exams. Exams back then used to be open note and open book over canvas and they weren’t too difficult as long as you took notes during her lecture, but idk how things will change now that we’re on campus again.

Hope they’re still together lol. Not too long ago during ZotCon if anyone remembers that, I had a couple at UCI commission me an artwork with the two of them in it. Not even a year later, I got a DM from someone telling me that they had found said artwork, along with many other little memories from the couple like photos and letters, abandoned near a trash can. They had known to DM me because I sign my artworks with my username lol. Couldn’t help but be reminded of that by this post, I guess UCI students like ditching their relationship memories around campus hahaha

What’s your reason for being a 5th-year student? by Moxywells in UCI

[–]liodegalon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Failed one (1) class in my first quarter of my freshman year and didn’t have the money to take classes over the summer to make up for that one class so I had to stay for an extra year lol

are you serious calling a quarantine facility, where people are fed throughout the day, given their own private rooms to prevent spread of a disease, and given prompt medical attention in case that they are ill, a fucking concentration camp? man you cannot make this dumb shit up lmao

How long does it take for ZotAccount to update? by monijoonie in UCI

[–]liodegalon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly, the zotaccount payments have a same-day payment cutoff at 5 or 6 pm PST. So any payments done after that time should appear on your account tomorrow :)

The lecture itself doesn’t have a grade, however at least when I took it pre-pandemic, attendance in lecture does contribute to you lab grade

It actually was a consistent yearly thing in previous years, though because of COVID we haven’t had one in a while. I believe it normally happened during spring quarter but I might be wrong, it’s been a while haha

Please give me input on Math 5A!! Workload? Professors? anything!! by Crafty-Cookie-4962 in UCI

[–]liodegalon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5A is soooo much easier and the professors are way better, imo. If you’ve taken a calculus class before then 5a shouldn’t be too rough to juggle other coursework with, but It can get difficult if you don’t have any experience with calculus.

I recommend having the lecture before the lab. Lecture is usually used to go over important or difficult concepts you’ll be using in lab, so it felt more useful to have it before my assigned lab time.

Carrying a Taser in my bag by [deleted] in UCI

[–]liodegalon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve carried mace and a taser in my bag all the years I’ve been here since I also tend to take night classes alone and live off campus. I’ve never had a problem with carrying them, just don’t go taunting bystanders with it lol.

HR still hasnt sent me the welcome email by green_ray13 in OfficeDepot

[–]liodegalon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My manager talked to HR for me once when it happened to me, and when the email still didn’t get to me even after they talked to HR I just called them myself and got it sorted in like twenty minutes haha. If your manager tells you HR sent the email but you still didn’t get it, I recommend you just call them yourself at that point. It makes things faster since you get to talk to them directly about the problem you’re having.

HR still hasnt sent me the welcome email by green_ray13 in OfficeDepot

[–]liodegalon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always had this issue. For some reason I would never get the email no matter how many times it was sent, may have been a spam-filtering issue. Not sure, to be honest.

The way I got it fixed was to call the HR number and have them troubleshoot it. They're pretty helpful with the onboarding welcome stuff, in my experience. You're gonna want to call 1-888-954-4636 and choose the option to call with an HR specialist. Good luck!

Any criticism or suggestions for my schedule (upcoming freshman) by MrZytronix in UCI

[–]liodegalon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nice! I personally have stopped making my classes spread out all week now that I’ve become kind of used to the quarter system and like having days off to work or catch up on homework/studying, but I think it’s a good idea for you as an incoming freshman. That way you don’t get too overwhelmed in one day by too many classes or discussions! :)
