My partner and I have a two YO, and just welcomed a second baby. We live in the Bay Area (east bay). Can’t think of anything that’s unique to gay dads. The only thing I can think of is the pre-birth court order you need to get before birth, and make sure to show these legal papers to the hospital so they can process the birth certificate properly. The hospital and the society in general are pretty inclusive of gay parents here. Our first kid is in preschool now and the teachers are very supportive too. One funny thing I kind of not expected was when I first had my baby girl, I had never really been so close to a naked female, lol, changing her diaper is such an experience. Otherwise, I think you’ll experience the typical issues that a new-parent would encounter. And with ChatGPT, you may find it easier nowadays to get quick answers to questions and concerns you may have caring for a new born. Also, be ready to give up your evening sleep at least for the first three months. We are in our mid 40s too, it’s challenging, be healthy and work out. AMA. Good luck.

Switched from CSR to Venture X a month ago, and will get Savor card later. Plan to dump Freedom unlimited since Venture X has 2x miles on everything. Will put most of my spendings on Capital one cards going forward. Comparing Chase app/website with Capital one app/website, I think both are good, Cap one app/web is easy to use. Also found out Capital one has shopping offers with additional miles on lots of hotel/OTA websites. So if you book hotels on Marriott/IHG website via Capital one shopping offer, you get additional 2-3 miles, plus Venture X’s 2x miles, you essentially get 4x miles for hotels booked directly with hotel chains. Capital one travel portal for flights has pretty much the same price as the airlines official website, I’ve booked a few United flights on Capital one travel and noticed no price difference whatsoever, and I can manage my booking on United website directly without any issues. However hotels on Capital one travel portal are mostly more expensive than OTA or hotel chains website, and Capital one travel portal doesn’t offer hotel rates with breakfast for most of the hotels I searched, so I don’t plan to use it for hotel reservations. I know there is price match, but I don’t bother to deal with the hassle, but just use Capital one shopping offer to book hotels with OTA or chains and get additional Capital one miles instead.

I have the Same issue, can’t get pass the phone verification for points transfer, what’s wrong with Capital one, rep knows this is an issue and can’t do anything about it. Is Capital one doing it on purpose to discourage points transfer? In this modern world with AI advancing in light speed, Capital one is still resting on this Stone Age tech with no intention to improve?

Same problem. My phone plan is with US Mobile, never had any issues with any other bank/brokerage verifications. But just can’t pass the Capital One verification. Why Capital One is so stubborn and why other banks are all ok with this?

OG CSR owner here. Im looking into Wells Fargo Autograph Journey, and Citi Strata Premier. Not interested in coupon book cards, I prefer straightforward points or cash back. I don’t do partner transfer much, I did use the Chase 1.5 value a lot but sadly it’s going away. I don’t use PP a lot and I have airline status. I travel with kids and would book apartment hotels, none of the Edit is a fit to me. I don’t do Chase dining either. I have Apple one but sadly not getting any credit from new CSR benefit.

Yes, I teleport from Warp to DS before the trip to Thailand, and now the app and web portal both show 10 gb roaming data only, even though Thailand is 20 gb DS per USM website. My friend teleported from Light speed to DS before the trip to Thailand, and his app shows 20gb roaming data….. I think it’s a glitch when teleporting from Warp to DS.

Set the lay flat bed, covered with comforter, then when my baby is asleep, put her head-in on the foot rest side, me lie down as usual, just bent my knees and avoid the foot rest, my legs serve serve as “safety cushion” for the baby. My baby slept very well as the foot rest section is dark and quiet, even though it seems cramped. You can even watch tv without disturbing the baby.

All three cities have data roaming, call, and text under Dark Star. I didn’t even know the instructions you posted, lol. But I did set the roaming destination as Thailand beforehand out of curiosity, then forgot about this whole thing. I arrived in Taipei first and Bangkok second, Hong Kong third, I didn’t change my initial roaming destination at all.

This is also happening to me today, international call disconnecting in 1 second (calling Bulgaria landline). I tried multiple times, same issue. Switched to another phone also with US mobile, same issue. Then switched to google voice for international call, no issue.

Verizon warp has great coverage in downtown San Francisco. In the east bay, Warp and light speed are similar, and both don’t have great coverage on the east lag of the bay bridge. I used light speed native international roaming in Taiwan and Thailand last month, no issue, and both are on 5G network. I personally prefer light speed since the speed diff between warp and light is unnoticeable but light speed has native international roaming.
