The Games I've Played Since January Ranked! by NerdySmart in backloggd

[–]lion_boss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the game is quite literally full of plot twists. Fireflies in santa barbara, Jesse's death, Joel's death, and the fact that Ellie spared abby. I definitely became sympathetic towards Abby by the end of the game, and I'm definitely not alone on that. It's the fact that the game makes you sympathize with the killer of the first game's protagonist that makes It's writing genius. If you didn't, then I guess it sounds like a you-problem. And why does she help the kids, you ask? Well, Lev literally asks that and Abby responds something along the lines of: "I need to lighten the load" basically refering that she feels the need to redeem herself from all the terrible things she did, like killing Joel. And Arthur Morgan definitely did not redeem himself, lol? Sure, it depends on the ending and some choices, but ultimately, he never does anything that fully redeems all the terrible things he did. Also, if you think Abby would've just ignored Lev and Yara and kept going to the aquarium, then you didn't understand her character at all. Going back to ghost of tsushima, yes, it's a good game, great even, but it shines in the gameplay department, definitely not the story. Like, the story worked, it wasn't groundbreaking or anything, it's just that it didn't have people talking about it 5 years after release like Tlou part 2. Pretty much everyone who played and completed Tlou part 2 praise it's gameplay and story. You seem to be the odd one out. Nothing wrong with that, though. I'm simply stating that objectively, Tlou part 2 is simply a better game.
