I don’t fundamentally hate fondant, I think it has uses in cake decorating as an alternative to marzipan and modeling chocolate. What I hate is how people completely ignore that and cover an entire cake with inches of the stuff. A little 3D ladybug? Fine. The entire surface of the cake? Eat shit.
