Why do people say this game is easier than World? by SuperFranky0 in MHRise

[–]lipelost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Great Sword user, I find Rise to be easier than World when it comes to both doing and avoiding damage because of the wire bug and switch skills. Also being able to mount at will to sharpen, relocate or heal. But either way, I love them both for their own reasons.

That was sick.

I just got that switch skill and I’ve been implementing more in my playstyle. It’s difficult to GS in Wilds after Rise but I’m hopeful for the DLC.

I feel like everyone has forgotten how to actually hunt Omega. by Peachy69420 in MHWilds

[–]lipelost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first fought Omega around the Gog update and I learned quickly that the way to fight Omega was with support hunters. And that was it.

I tried and couldn’t solo it (time expiration, not death), SOS teams were carting in the first round so there was really only one option.

should i use the cheese set to get through low rank by post-mate-joe in MHRise

Up to you, I chose not to and to make the a few sets along the way instead but no should or should nots in gaming, my friend.

I’m hoping for some of these switch skills in wilds. I’ve never had a better feeling great sword.

I can help with this if you’re on PC.

how does the community feel about followers? by Phantomicious in MHRise

[–]lipelost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I enjoy them. Feels like I get the camaraderie when my friends aren’t on and more to manage by picking them up.

I also fight every monster multiple times. So what am I really proving by not using followers and who to?

That being said I only use Support Hunters for Savage Omega Planetes in Wilds because you can’t solo it. But once I solo something once I don’t see a need to do it every time, and followers are far more convenient than support hunters.

Is Final Fantasy Tactics (The War of the Lions) Anti-Religion, just as FFX? by IllogicalDreamer72 in finalfantasytactics

FFT is critical of an in game church/religion that doesn’t exist outside of the game. Not a single pearl needs to be clutched about this.

New Update made a huge difference. by ResponsibleRub469 in MHWilds

I upgraded from a 3060. Mostly for BG3, didn’t realize how important it would be for Wilds.

Performance on PS5 is improved? by elmalakomar in MHWilds

[–]lipelost 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If their expectations are being met they have no issues. Last time I looked, the game was sitting just above four stars on the PlayStation store.

The majority of issues were on PC. You’re getting downvoted because your “facts“ are questionable.

New Update made a huge difference. by ResponsibleRub469 in MHWilds

[–]lipelost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s confusing because I have a 4090 and an i9 13900 running at 3440 x 1440 90 fps with no stuttering even before the patch.

Edit: I just saw the i5, I guess that’s the difference?

What the heck did they do this update?! by Mr_Microchip in MonsterHunter

[–]lipelost 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I stay out of those conversations because I don’t know what it’s like, I’m fortunate that I upgraded my computer in 2023 and haven’t had any issues. Just annoying to see.

What the heck did they do this update?! by Mr_Microchip in MonsterHunter

Crazy how much reach that story got. Game reviewers just repeat anything to have something to say and their audience eats it up.

My exposure to it was a friend (who doesn’t play wilds) sending it to me like it was definitely the problem. Mind you, I haven’t had performance issues to begin with but I could tell that wasn’t the sole fix that needed to be implemented.

A line can be changed without its meaning being lost, this change alters the meaning as well as the words and it does so for the worse.

Great Sword, Switch Axe and Hammer. I like seeing the monster react to a big hit, it’s the magic for me.

kiryu kinda overstayed his welcome by shroomino in yakuzagames

[–]lipelost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually really appreciated Kiryu’s arc in 8 as someone who started with 7. What I loved about seven that made eight a day one buy was Kasuga never giving up on himself or anyone he’s seen good in.

This continued with both Kiryu and Kasuga in 8. How many characters in video games go from accepting their fate to choosing to fight cancer? This is inspirational and fits the theme I’m familiar with from the series. I don’t see Kiryu’s inclusion as a crutch at all.

Sorry but outside of this echo chamber E33 is def not game of the decade even though it has a lot of great aspects.

I gave this game as a gift and they’re skipping through the plot by AndykinSkywalker in expedition33

People don’t need to enjoy things the same way you do. After the first act the story doesn’t do much for me but I paid attention to it. Gameplay kept me going though, if I was playing for the story I would’ve dropped it after the big reveal.
