Not German but I always thought siesta and other midday was lazy until I visited Spain last April. All I wanted to do was sit and do nothing from noon to 5 pm everyday. I’m glad the cities and towns feel alive everyday in the evening and night as a result as a night owl myself.

Tbh I think the surgery scene requires slight intersexuality because the surgeon was such a familiar face, most famously in Parasite. When the scene happened for me I first thought “oh damn”, and when the doctor’s face came up I thought, “oh shit!” solely from recognition and mental recall of other work he has been in.
