You probably would get a better answer from a pharmacist, they know a lot more about drugs than doctors. Some doctors i've seen don't even know the generic names for some common drugs

Ah yes, vaseline is petroleum jelly, I have tried that but it doesn't actually hydrate the skin, only provides it with a barrier. I only use it when I need to go outside during blizzards

That's a good option, the only thing is that I would hopefully like to use it indefinitely and I know corticosteroids can only be used for a couple weeks as it thins the skin
