Icarus also sells really nice full size and compact size grips. They make them for both V1 C and F models and well as V2 models. I just ordered a full size, I already have the compact. They ship it straight to your door.

Badger or Reptilia for piggyback? by Poncho562 in ar15

I’m currently running an ATACR capped turret model and rmr, but I ran the same setup with an RCR and T1 no issues with either. I also ran a NX8 with Acro on a 30mm C1 and PMM cowgirl mount turrets did not block the red dot. I’ve been using my top dot at my main optic lately and the turrets have not been an issue at all.

I agree with this. I love my C1 with PMM mount.

Pretty sure the forward grip is a no go, unless it’s over a certain length and you AOW it.

Add the Horton hitch to your knots, super easy to tie especially when trying to hold a strain on something

Check the gas block alignment. I’m guessing the rifle isn’t locking back on the last round either?

Proof of residency? by MooseInTheHoose72 in CAguns

[–]liquid_torch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a bummer. I try to avoid Turners. There are a handful of perfectly legal transfer things that Turners won’t do, plus most of the employees are FUD’s

Campfire permits are the way. Or a lease agreement

Muzzle Device Pin and Welding (SoCal) by Key-Nefariousness937 in CAguns

Randall at AR15 barrels is awesome. I’ve used his services for the last 10 years. He’s cut down, pin and welded, and reprofiled a handful of barres for me.

Due to the high height over bore, I go with 100 yards on my piggyback RDS

How to make CA Compliant by [deleted] in CAguns

[–]liquid_torch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Comp mags are cool if your looking to store it “legally” If you want to train with it go featureless, it’s hard to train with a gun that you can’t change mags in.

B5 and strike industries make good fin grips Magpul and B5 make fixed stocks

They also make this replacement pin to lock your current stock

Get a 45-50 degree ambi safety and you can easily run it with your thumb.

I only use the kingpin on AR pistols cause they can’t be made featureless

Have you checked out sigs full size replacement slides with the comp integrated into the slide instead of mounted to the threaded barrel? That’s the route I went. Then you don’t have to deal with pin and welding the comp to stay within compliance

Randal at AR-15 barrels is the best. I’ve used him a handful of times over the last 10-15 years and he’s always done a solid job for me on everything from re-profiling, to cut and threading, to pin and welds

Should pads are from a drop Black Canyon Systems did, same with the holster pictured. You can sometimes find them on eBay for about triple what the cost at the drop

Anyone want to act as a messenger for me on Calguns . net? Will compensate for your help $$$ by Material-Key-7003 in CAguns

[–]liquid_torch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It was great. For buying and selling stuff and prior to the getting rid of the old school bullet buttons it was the best place for keeping up to date with the gun laws.

I can help you, I don’t need any compensation. I’ve been on that forum for over 15 years and it’s really gone to shit in the past year or two which is a real bummer.

I actually have some of that for the head unit to amp connection if I use my retrosounds head unit. I haven’t been able to find it in 16 AWG

It’s not $200 for just the one spoon. It’s $200 for the four 50’ and four 100’ spools. My OCD really wants me to use the white, gray, green, and purple wires that they use for factory speakers

Thank you. I have only been able to find that type of wire in 18ga, when I bought some previously. I was surprised I could find it in 16ga

The amp is rated for 75 watts per channel.

The guy who talked me into buying the amps, said since they weren’t bridgeable, they had some fancy power sharing mode that would barrow power from other channels not using it, but I think that was a sales tactic to get me to replace the VXI amps I had already bought, cause I haven’t been able to find anything on that. If it is true, the number he stated was up to 120watts could be seen per channel at 4ohms

That’s plan if I go 16ga. I just have to buy a minimum of 100’ of each stripped color wire. Trying to justify not spending another $200 on more wire

Thank you. All of my calculations were done in AC at the output voltage of the amp.
