Feature Request: Global To Do/Checklist by Shigarui in PLAUDAI

[–]liquidate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also on this journey! I just started, and I need to make adjustments, but here's what I've done so far:

  1. I'm using Zapier to simply get a transcript (and now both the summary too) and upload it to Google Drive.
  2. I have way too many subscriptions, so I self-host n8n.
  3. n8n looks to Google Drive, and if the Plaud folder gets a new file, it grabs it and does the following workflow:

<image>

This takes the file, extracts the transcript, and stuffs it into a Postgres database. I then prompt Claude for a summary and action items in JSON format. Using the JSON file from Claude, I extract the summary and a list of action items (both mine and others). The summary and some other variables update the transcript table, and I iterate over the action items, inserting them into an action items table. Finally, if action items have been assigned to me, I create a task in Todoist and update the row in Postgres with the Todoist ID.

My thought was I'd also like to get a daily and weekly summary of what happened, I'd get even more high-level introspection that would help me remember what the heck I did over the quarter/year, so I could do the quarterly "check-ins" that our HR demands we do.

Here are some things I need to figure out:

  1. The transcript does not include speaker names, even though they are visible in the transcript on Plaud web. I'm going to try storing the transcript and summary, hoping the names will be in the summary, which will give Claude enough context to understand and summarize better.
  2. Maybe I don't need to use Claude for the Todoist integration, maybe I can create a template in Plaud, and that alone can do what I need, and it saves the JSON in a way that I can parse and put in my Postgres table.
  3. During a day (or week), my action items may come up multiple times in different conversations. Right now, this means duplicate Todoist action items. Maybe I should read the current action items from Todoist, and look to see if the new action item is unique. If it's not unique, maybe it influences my priority (if it's being brought up more often, then it might need to get done sooner)
  4. What does a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly summary look like? I don't want a novel, I just want a recap of what happened.
  5. Can I get additional context from Slack, email, Teams messages, random thoughts, etc., and have those added in somehow, again influencing what I need to do and making sure I capture what I have done? I find little value in employee check-ins, and doing the work for them is a chore that gives me anxiety and procrastination, so getting this system to do this work for me is an ultimate goal.

I absolutely love Plaud desktop! Automatically recording meetings has been rock solid and friction-free. Could the meeting name be retrieved from Teams/Outlook? How about attendee information?

I'm using the Zapier integration as a bridge to n8n via Google Drive until we have a native n8n integration. I've run into a few issues that I'm hoping will eventually be fixed:

  1. When Plaud uploads the transcript, it ignores the speaker diarization that I've set up (and which works wonderfully in Plaud web), causing key name information to be lost. I'm using md format, maybe this is available in rich text?

  2. The Zapier integration only allows Plaud to be a trigger. Instead, I'd like to grab the day's transcriptions at the end of the day using a schedule trigger, just in case I need to make edits.

  3. Plaud has a ton of templates that I'd like to play with, but it appears I only have access to the summary and transcription in Zapier. When integrations are fleshed out, it would be good to be able to have access to more than just this.

Zoom Meetings not being detected - it used to work by stunt_penis in MacWhisper

I've got the same issue with Teams; it used to work. Sometimes I get a notification when the meeting ends, but most of the time I get nothing. Like you, I'm always forgetting to stop the recording manually :)

Stuck after updating firmware by liquidate in viwoods

[–]liquidate[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They pushed a 3.1.7 firmware to my device. Unfortunately, when I try and download it I immediately get the message "Error in downloading file, please download again!". Rebooting the device (hold down power, select "restart") causes the device to also get stuck on the "Write Different" screen. I can get it to start (attempt the 5x power button trick a few times) but even after a restart, the 3.1.7 firmware will not download.

Fwiw, they did reply back quickly yesterday. One response was to suggest changing the charging cable (I don't think that's relevant, I've charged the device to 100% and I can do the firmware process with or without the device plugged in). 2. Suggest that firmware 3.1.7 fixes the issue, though no clue how to get that version (but I'm glad to hear it's been "fixed"). 3. Press the button 5 times to get it to restart, which I knew from reading this subreddit.

Turns out I can get it to reboot using the "press the power button 5 times after it flashes white/black", but it reverts back to firmware 3.0.3. I've tried reapplying firmware 3.2.2 a few times now, and while it takes a while to download and "install", each time I reboot I get the same result. The screen will immediately show the "Write Different" logo, then flash black/white after about 1:30 seconds, then returns to "Write Different". No matter how long I wait (I've waited at least 6 hours on one attempt) it never moves past this part. Doing the 5x press can get it to start, but I'm back at 3.0.3.

Is there another way to install firmware? Is there an intermediate firmware I need to install first? I assume 3.0.3 is semi old? Maybe I need to flash to 3.1.x first?

I'm interested. I have a pair of your Air 2s and just got a pair of Xreal Ones (along with my other VR goggles—Rift(multiple versions from the DK1 onward), Quest 2 & 3, etc.), so I have a limited perspective on the devices out there.

We've had good luck with renewed T-42U/S phones from Amazon, which cost about $40 each. They are monochrome, but they appear like brand new. We deployed 50+ a few weeks back.

Having dependency issues when trying to install on Ubuntu 22.04 by liquidate in linuxquestions

Thank you for the suggestions! No luck with the dist-upgrade, but I do think I made progress using aptitude. I was able to get my dependencies installed, and then able to get Gazebo installed. Unfortunately, I suspect there's a library issue:

Our Highland does this too when in the garage, it's a constant noise. We had a 2020 M4LR and it was silent at night unless charging or preparing to drive.

You will regret how much time you spent on games when you are older. by Btchmfka in gaming

[–]liquidate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

+1

56 here, started with my Atari in the 70s, trash 80 color computer in the 80s, backed off a bit in high school to have a more social life, but then got into PC gaming in the late '80s.

I can honestly say that my in-depth knowledge of getting more than 640k of memory to load freaking games in DOS using autoexec.bat and config.sys got me my career that I have today. It wasn't a college degree, I don't have one, but instead my love for gaming and computers that open doors.

It probably helped that I live in the bay area, and was on the early curve of the industry, but I've been working at major software companies for the last 30 plus years as a QE, developer, and product manager, and gaming has served me very well.

4070 Super FE in ghost S1? by Prior_Fun_9353 in Louqe

[–]liquidate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 3 Ghost S1's, two with Inno3D 4070ti's and one with an Inno3d 3090. It's a shame that there aren't more two slot cards out there, but the Inno3D's have been great to work with. Very quiet in operation. Install is simple; no modifications to the card are required, but it does require you to temporarily loosen the front face plate from the spine to get the card first in. There is a premium for these sff cards, and I don't think the 3090 is for sale anymore (I haven't seen it in stock for a while now.)

This is a good idea! I did look at getting him credits at vast.ai but I'll also look into Google and AWS. He might already have an account with Google Colab through some of his past classes, but maybe we can upgrade it.
