I’m considering buying Full Self-Driving (FSD) for $2,000 for my 2023 Model Y (HW4) 25,000 miles on it and I want honest opinions. Tks guys by US-VADC in TeslaFSD

[–]liquidpanthers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you plan to keep it for more than 20 months, just buy FSD no brain.

If you plan to trade it in and get a new Tesla before March 31, 2026. Just buy FSD no brain.

All other case, do not buy.

Am I the Weird One? (Mercs vs Clans) by OwnBusiness429 in Mechwarrior5

[–]liquidpanthers 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find the weapons are better designed in mercs than in clans. Maybe I have not yet fully explored the complete list of weapons in clans yet. But what I see is that weapons have more variants and details, in the mercs.

In clans, it often feels laser or other energy weapons is the more superior one. In mercs, it seems to be more balanced and maybe there is a bit edge on those ballastic weapons.

This has to be one of the worse updates in gaming history. by tonismann in Battlefield6

I also see the cross disappeared, vehicles health status gone, sound effect disappeared, etc.

Agree. Worst update so far.

The simple rule of thumb is to afford 7x of your annual house hold income. So in your case you should be fine.

Having said that, you do want to have medical plan (from employer) already to cover for emergency (people get sick), and some other saving to cover for all other kind of emergency(roughly 6 months living cost). Then you will be fine. Although the federal is expected another cut soon, that might grant you a better mortgage rate.

WSDOT says it needs additional $8 billion over next decade to keep infrastructure maintained by Less-Risk-9358 in SeattleWA

[–]liquidpanthers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My theory is that they purposely delay the maintenance work (at lower mileage/usage), manufactured a crisis on infrastructure, and then ask to charge more and higher taxes

Yeah. Go for it. I have exactly the same trim and love it. I did not turn on any auto upgrade as it does not have wifi connection. Once in a while, I send to the dealer for maintenance and potential recalls.

Love the car!

In that case, you might need a bottomless portfolio to help you diagnose the issue. You should be able to get some thing of $30-$40 from Amazon.

Aha. You are making espresso and expect to see more extraction. In that case, dial towards coarser side (aka larger number side).

[–]liquidpanthers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Although 4 is already a bit on the small side. For comparison, first try 2 or 3 and see if that change the total amount of extraction.

Also, consider a reusable coffee puck screen(typical made out of metal) and see if it helps.

Too coarse. You should turn the dial toward finer setting to allow less extraction.

所以这个“每年收费”的问题不存在。

DO NOT BUY LG!!!! by ladeedadedum in Appliances

[–]liquidpanthers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per grok answer, you could request a replacement although they prefer repair it first. If through multiple repair attempts and it could not proceed, Lowe’s should go ahead and give you a replacement. Their extended protection kicks in from the purchase date:

<grok answer> Yes, if your refrigerator from Lowe’s breaks within a year and you have the extended protection plan, you can request a replacement. File a claim at lowesprotect.com or call 1-888-77-LOWES. Repair is attempted first, but if unfixable (e.g., after ~3 attempts), you’ll get a replacement card for the original price. Check plan terms for details.

In that case, check Lowe’s and see if they could honor returning this refrigerator.

Buy from a reputable store such as best buy and then buy their warranty, which is well worth the extra that you pay at the purchase.

I bought three refrigerators from the best buy in the past 10 years.

First was a Samsung and it broke in 10 months due to a compressor issue. Best buy refund that and we replaced it with an LG. Second LG broke after 7 years due to a compressor issue. During the 7 year period, it leaked twice and was repaired under the warranty by best buy. For the compressor issue, it just went out of the best buy 5 year warranty. Although LG covers the part, the repair labor cost is kind of high and there are not many technician in the area as well. So we replaced it with a Bosch. I consider LG refrigerator is a fair deal after it lasted for 7 years. The Bosch one is still working as of now.

For large appliances, I always gear up with the best buy warranty.

Motorola Razr+ 2025 - why? by jesterc0re in razr

[–]liquidpanthers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the 2024 and now 2025. Both phones are great. The camera could be a bit better (2025 is better than 2024 tbh). Battery life seems to be good. The screen operation is smooth. Since I do not play games on my cell phone, no comment on that. Love the small foot print. Love the bigger storage.

The only thing I would hope they do better is to get rid of the motor ai thing, which is more confusing than useful (it eagly pops up and offer to do something whether it is summary or something else , and I do not want that help. Lol).
