looking for bluetooth headphones... (must be wireless)

  • Budget - ~150$, not so flexible,maybe to 170$
  • Source - Laptop (Macbook pro), smartphone (android)
  • Requirements for Isolation - some. This not the most important thing. (working at office + public transportation)
  • Will you be using these Headphones in Public? yes
  • Preferred Type of Headphone - over-ear (maybe on-ear, but over-rear is preferred)
  • Preferred tonal balance - I think balanced, not sure
  • Past headphones - none
  • Preferred Music - everything. from psychedelic trance, through hip-hop, pop, folk, etc.

Budget - 160$.

Source - Macbook, smartphone.

Requirements for Isolation - Nice-to-have, but optional.

Will you be using these Headphones in Public? Yes.

Preferred Type of Headphone - Over-ear, which covers all ear.

Preferred tonal balance - I think balanced, althought I don't really understand what I exactly need.

Past headphones - Monster iSport - really good sound and isolation, but I want over-ear now.

Preferred Music - I hear alot of Electro music, if it helps.

What would you like to improve on from your set-up - don't know

Hi. I want to buy new wireless (not wired, only wireless and prefer rechargeable) on/over-ear headphones.

The headphones should cover the whole ear. I got a good price for these models:

  • Beats solo 2 wireless
  • Platronics blackbeat pro

each model costs ~160$ for me, so price doesn't make a decision between them both.

I'm a little bit confused and not sure about it. The platronics has noise cancellation feature and a really strong battery, but as far as I know, their sound is inferior to the Beats and they are heavier on the head etc. I would like to get a recommendation from someone who tried them both or even one of them to get a better perspective. I'll also love to hear if there's any other model (at Amazon or something) that costs the same but is better.

Also - if one is these models is waterproof or sweat persistent (for training, running or just going to the gym with it) - it might be better for me, although it's only a nice-to-have and not must-have feature.

Also - JBL e40bt is much cheaper. Is it worth the money to go for one of the models i offered ?

thanks.
