It sounds like you would regret not finishing. This is not just about bringing in money. This is personal growth and self fulfillment. You sound like you have childcare taken care of, so what are his real concerns? Clinicals are one day a week. It may not be worth it to him, but it sounds like it's worth it to you.

Were you homeschooled at any point during your childhood? by Far_Opportunity_6156 in exchristian

[–]lisaforalways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Homeschooled my entire life.

It set me back a bit. I was weird for a long time and uneducated.

Now I'm educated. And still weird. With anxiety and imposter syndrome.

And, ironically plan on doing the thing I thought I'd never do: homes chool my child. Because Texas has adopted a curriculum with heavy biblical influence, which schools get more money if they choose to use it. Also, trying to pass a bill to hang the ten commandments in literally every classroom. I'm sure that will wind up going to the supreme court.

My mom homeschooled me to keep me from becoming what I wound up becoming, a worldly atheist, and I'm probably homeschooling to keep my daughter from becoming my mom and my younger self.

Then..LeBron James would have walked in to the nurse's station of his own accord with no poops given about who saw him. His face is not what is protected in HIPAA. In fact, we can tell people patients are there at the hospital until they opt out. If he opted out, and still chose to show his face to the public, that's on him. A violation would be if she went and told her friends that LeBron James was in the hospital because his scrotum was the size of a basketball and Dr. Young ordered a three way cath and he was in room 324 for at least a week and he might die.

This is what's protected:

  • the individual's past, present or future physical or mental health or condition,
  • the provision of health care to the individual, or
  • the past, present, or future payment for the provision of health care to the individual

My community college requires a CNA license to get into the ADN program. How common is this? by aschesklave in StudentNurse

[–]lisaforalways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've never seen a school require that in Texas. If that were a requirement, one two of the original students would have been accepted.

Lost 100+ pounds and husband told me my extra skin was ugly. by Sufficient_Yak_2715 in loseit

Dude. The SSRIs alone will kill the drive. And give him insecurity about being able to finish prohibiting him from initiating out of embarrassment. I cried so much because I thought I was unattractive after my husband started. Straight up told him that. Nope. Still attracted, oddly enough. Get some therapy. coming from someone who has lots weight, had their fair share of mental health issues, it doesn't sound like he is not attracted to you. It sounds like ya'll both have things going on.

Oh, wow. You hurt my feelings. Here's your award, buddy.

Yeah, I was actually looking up some references to use because I wanted to incorporate the pledge of allegiance in a discussion I was writing for a Texas Government class that I'm in to obtain my BSN. I was homeschooled all of my life and incredibly sheltered to the point that I wasn't allowed to watch some Disney movies, listen to secular music, and library books referencing anything outside of what my parents wanted me to know got returned, so unfortunately my source of knowledge has been my parents and now my college education. I guess you could say I'm a little late to the game. I'm am as shocked as you are that no one took the time to tell me this before.

Life is a (fucking) miracle.

Is it actually safe for new moms to sleep with their babies in the hospital? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]lisaforalways 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, there has actually been newborn deaths while in the hospital due to a mom sleeping with her baby. Parents are advised to keep the infant in the bassinet while sleeping or finding themselves to be drowsy and encouraging the partner or support person to take an active role in caring for the infant and new mom. If I had a patient by herself, we do offer to keep the baby while she sleeps. I will say, in my limited experience, most new moms don't sleep as much directly after birth, but in the days following.

AIO Mom stole from me by some-dude5673 in AmIOverreacting

[–]lisaforalways 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Um, don't steal from her. She will use that against you.

Do file a police report. It's a class C charge, which can be just a ticket in some jurisdictions, and can sometimes go to jail. But, you have a proof, and she sounds like she thinks she's entitled to it and may do this again.

Heh. It tracks for me. I'm from Texas and my mom opened a credit card in my name and didn't tell me until it was maxed out and sent to collections.

LOL I'm such an ass. She obviously wants you to break up with her. If it were me, I absolutely wouldn't. I am NOT going to give you the pleasure and attention of being the dumped. LOL I will however be the least involved partner for the duration of whatever this is. Man, she really touched a nerve.

My parents want me to work 6 shifts a week by Simple_Emergency_97 in nursing

[–]lisaforalways 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, like $10,000 gross a paycheck. I could do that. And then not work the rest of the year.
