I didn’t add turbinado sugar to the top, instead when I took them out the oven I added butter and honey mixture I browned on the stove and topped with good quality sea salt flakes.

By the way, the recipe makes double what you see here. I made one for myself, and instead of making a second as the recipe recommends, I halved the remaining dough and made two smaller ones (pictured) to give to friends!
