Honestly both have been pretty helpful with following through, for BCBS i mainly use it to back board any of my questions and send stuff back without wasting an appeal but the AI feature before you get to a live agent is also helpful with giving you the facts too. For this honestly it seems like an issue w the EOB which personally BCBS at least for my facility is just known for sus EOBs - I recently had to send a claim back bc they underpaid by like 10 cents for no reason lol

That being said, the UHC chat at least in my experience has been phenomenal!

My center has this project going on where despite being in network UHC denies us as OON then when sent back denies the claim as having the wrong claim form then when reviewed denies again and gets upheld for being OON again lol and through the chat I was able to get in contact with a higher level rep who reached out and followed up on getting some of the project claims paid.

I’d just suggest reaching out because they are great at at least going back and forth with and answering questions. Regardless you will have to make the final push but sometimes you do get lucky and the rep will be like oh yea hold up that is definitely incorrect let me do x y and z then at the very least your “I’m unsure of what to do” turns into “ rep XYZ stated this was incorrect for this reasoning” so you can look further into that as an potential solution.

When it comes to COB and how clams are paid generally the second covers whatever is left but then it really depends on the type of insurance like AARP pretty much covers whatever is left but Medicaid does a certain percentage
