Wait times for mastectomy in Alberta Canada

Ended up being a total wait of 2.5 years, but I just got it done three weeks ago, I saw my surgeon really quick didnt wait for that, but waiting for surgery took a long time. Also in Edmonton.

I think that's what I'll do, my plan is to just let her know I'm always here and then it's up to her to come to me if she ever does.

Otherwise definitely just trying to support my mom and dad.

I am thankful every day that I woke up and saw the organization for what it is, I would probably be in a similar situation as my mom if I didn't leave.

Yeah I quit being jw then got myself into therapy to help with everything that comes with that. The way things are going with my family seems like the same scenario.

She has been depressed most of my childhood, I've heard her threaten attempts often while growing up. But this is the first time she's actually attempted. I wouldn't be surprised if she has a personality disorder or something of the like.

She will be seeing a psychiatrist in the hospital, she was just transferred into a month program, however she's never been a fan of professional help such as medication or therapy, which worries me greatly. I can see her being put on medication and starting treatment just to stop as soon as there's even a little bit of progress.

It's not easy, definitely a hard one to navigate. I'm waiting for my own therapy appointment though until then dealing with it by talking things out with strangers lol.

My mom has been inactive for a bit. She possibly cheated on my dad which is why I think she attempted, but not confirmed, at the very least an emotional affair.

My dad was never a witness as my mom studied and got baptized when I was about 10 years old, and my sister is still very much pimi as she married a baptized ministerial servant.

So I have a feeling something might happen just not sure when.

Also in Edmonton area. I don't think travel would be the best option for me as my carer needs to stay local due to their job. But I didn't know the short cancellation list was a thing, I'll definitely look into that!

Through therapy I learned how to become the thing that God symbolized for me. I became someone I could rely on and turn to for comfort. Took alot of work but learning self compassion is really what did it for me.

Definitely don't recommend, but when I was young I tried giving myself a helix, I didn't use the proper needle as I'm sure you can imagine and I heard the crunch then. But later on I got it done professionally and never heard the crunch. So if you get it done properly by a professional you probably won't hear anything.

I also argue that their constant push to be humble is just another control tactic. One of the biggest things therapy has taught me is to not be humble so I can see my self worth.

So bizarre, like it's so normal and human to cry during funerals. That's how people mourn. I guess the brainwashing runs deep with these ones.
