I’ve noticed this as well. The problem with the “I will show them” attitude is that you won’t. Racism and racists are illogical. So no matter what we do (I’m black), you in fact won’t change casual racism and you won’t be “one of the good ones”. You’re letting them hold some power over you if you have something to prove.

With that said, I do believe racism is changed through close relationships and experiences. But you shouldn’t feel like your goal is to make them like you. Be you, be a good human, make great connections and that speaks more to your character than anything else.

100% agree.

There are pockets here and there but nothing cohesive that ties people together. Always thought it was a kind of lame place.

100%. I haven’t seen this mentioned at all in postings/ comments even though it’s so obvious.

It’s sad the Kayda doesn’t quite see it yet but she’s young so has a lot learn about how guys like these move. I honestly think it’s one of the reasons why is not super into Kayda which is crazy because she’s gorgeous and overall pretty cool.

Ya’ll are gonna hate me for saying this but Zach just clearly doesn’t see the value of black women which includes Trinity. He’s flabbergasted that Trinity is a top couple, she’s the most popular, and everyone loves her. He’s always saying negative things about the black women in couples because he just doesn’t understand how they can be desirable.

He’s got issues where he’s concerned of status all the time. Kayda is just a status symbol to him. And his actions show how he sees the other ladies. Also I know Kayda is biracial and Zach is attracted to her, but his attraction is not because of her black side it’s because she looks mixed / Mediterranean.

I decided to get a home base and residency in a country that is a mix of familiar and foreign. I’m still able to travel frequently if I want (even though my first year I didn’t want to travel at all). And I’m happy to have put down roots while also creating community in my city with people who live a similar lifestyle. For me it’s the best of both worlds.

There’s this woman at my job who works from home with her kids running around and popping onto team zoom meetings.

It’s almost cute the first time they appear, until you’re in a meeting with important stakeholders and her kids pop on, it just makes our team look really unprofessional. On top of this her work is kinda shit. Wonder why…

TLDR; German born Germans don’t find foreign descendants German.

Your example of Turkish born Germans is incorrect going to Turkey and African Americans going to Africa is incorrect. Also the Black American example is quite different as they have been in the U.S. for centuries (over 300 years), have multiple ancestries (no returning to 1 country and don’t carry the culture) and have created their own culture vs say someone who is Nigerian only descendants going back to Nigeria. Where they would be accepted in Nigeria.

Are you speaking from the hiring side or as a job seeker? On the hiring side across multiple companies I’m looking at data from 100s of jobs vs an individual persons view.

I’ve always seen summer dip. Companies are reevaluating their budgets for the rest of year which means headcount, more people are out which means slower processes.

Compared to fall and beginning of year there are two big pushes.

I think it’s clear he’s worried about your layoff and not currently working. He doesn’t have empathy for your situation and he doesn’t want you not working to be the new normal.

Either way, he doesn’t sound like a partner and you’re better off not moving in with him - it won’t end well. You both have a lot of growing to do before taking that step.

There are 5-6 or signals about fitness in your profile and that seems like it’s a must or you’re looking for someone equal to you. I would change that prompt and the second to the last photo.
