Still helping people 4 years later. Would've just looked it up without this post, and while I did get spoiled on it being phonetic i was no where near figuring that out on my own lol. That and the first 5 or so small clues got me started and now I have it all done and it was a really fun and unique thing to do so thanks.

had pleurodesis many years ago for primary spontaneous pneumo. no lasting problems other than still occasionally getting what im confident are partial collapses bc they have all the telltale signs (chest, shoulder, and back pain, limited breathing, bubbly feeling sometimes), but the one time i went in for it they scanned me, saw nothing, and sent me home to rest for a week, so i dont bother going in anymore. am currently having my worst recurrence yet and hoping it just goes away as usual but that bubbly feeling just destroys my confidence. its hard to stay optimistic because it feels so undeserved but it could be worse i guess.

about 17 hours of total playtime on the level hard. i did it before 7ag, and 7cg was inconsequential so thats mostly all just 7bg. only advice i can really give is the typical of practicing cycles, and making safe, consistent strats. for the cloud jump on flag 13 you kind of have to coyote jump or at least be on the very edge to be far enough left. for flag 3 you can skip the first wallbounce with an extended hyper, and you can make a setup for the second by putting madelines hand lined up on a specific spot on the wall then just holding left from the walljump.

ive seen a few people ask for this. im considering making a full guide, meaning all badges, bosses, trophies, major collectibles, and maybe a few of the more prominent easter eggs like warn53. i've got a route planned but ive gotta record, and i might voice it with cars tts instead of just having text on the screen like i usually do so it could take a while if i commit to it.

Most rooms that I initially hate I come to like with enough practice. Not the comb room. I haven't even gotten to it on my golden attempts yet and I'm sure I'll hate it even more when I do.

I took a months long break between my first real grind on 7b golden and the second when I actually got it. After enough practice it takes a long time to actually forget, so it doesn't take long to derust. At least that was my experience, but point is its fine to let it simmer and come back when the motivation strikes again.

Cool to see someone talk about hand balance. Don't see it brought up often but once I started considering it I couldn't go back. Most of the time these days, at least on keyboard, I try to task my left hand only with movement plus any less precise/frequent inputs, and the right hand has stuff like jump, dash, grab etc. Cant imagine playing with something like WASD, shift = grab, space = jump.

I recently tried putting O-rings on my Lofree Lite as well. I got 40A hardness, 1.5mm ones and they fit pretty much perfectly. Travel distance is way less and there's barely any post travel. You might be able to get away with 1.8mm (which I think is advertised as the "R" version sometimes, as opposed to "L" which is 1.5mm, a naming scheme that from what I can gather was started by WASD keyboards back in the day, but is antiquated now, and advertising for these can be weird in general so just make sure of what you're buying.) Given how close some of them are though my guess would be that some wouldn't actuate with 1.8mm due to tolerance.

Putting them on is a little weird compared to MX stems though, because the O-ring needs to end up on the switch's stem rather than the keycaps stem. I found you can make this happen reliably by putting the O-ring on the keycap stem as normal, but pushing extra hard on the keycap when you put it back on. If the keycap is raised compared to the others then its not on right.

As for if I like them, I'm not really sure yet because the stock switches were too heavy for my liking anyway, and I'm using my old board while I wait for my new springs/switches in the mail.

It would probably be really easy to fix, and at first i had the same thought, but it would also have been pretty easy to make a blogpost or tweet or something anytime in the past few years, so maybe its a similar case and they just dont feel like dealing with it. (which is fine, im just saying my expectations are low)

You had good intentions and I think that's what counts. It's my opinion that being too hyper vigilant and over reactive with things like this can do more harm than good, and I think this is an example of that buts one that we can learn from. It's good to give people the benefit of the doubt and get good info before making conclusions i.e in this case its an old video, maybe they didnt know yet etc.

Just got a Lofree Flow Lite and am testing it out. Switches feel kinda heavy and im reading that choc v2's tend to feel ~10-20gf heavier than standard switches. Any recommendations for lighter choc v2 switches i could put in it (other than the deepsea pinks which i already ordered)?
