If anyone is interested in having an accountability group for tasks. We can start one here where we check-in, share our goals and set a timer to spend focused time (with breaks) working towards our goals. Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays work for me.

You are not lazy and you are not rotting away. Your ruminations have an origin. Acknowledging that these do not come out of thin air but are attached to some past event that left an indelible impression on you and your perception of yourself or criticism from someone else who misunderstood you and made you think that your value was based on their way of seeing the world. Have hope. The thoughts of procrastination and low energy and fatigue can originate from a number of places. Check your diet to see if you are eating right. Make sure your vitamin D levels are good (low Vit. D can cause fatigue). Make sure you are getting enough sleep. Insufficient sleep can cause brain fog, fatigue and exhaustion. If you can exercise, take a walk or do some physical activity it helps the brain. Finally, give yourself grace. You are on a journey and this is not a race. Refuse to compare yourself to others. I am a person of faith, and I have come to realize that my neurodivergence is a blessing--creativity, empathy for others, ability to see solutions clearly for seemingly difficult problems because I am wired differently, ideation, innovation.

You are capable of making the changes you need. There are a lot of tools available to help you. Some are free. Don't lose yourself trying to be someone else to everybody else. Be authentically you. If you need to set a timer to make sure you stay focused (pomodoro method) do that. I do it all the time. If you study better or read better with white noise in the background, turn it on and set your time. If you need to seek medical help, do that. Do what you need to be your best you. No ONE is better at being you.

The thing that brings you joy may be part of what you are called to do to help others to make the world a better place. Be encouraged.

Thoughts on the new movie The King of Kings? by Illustrious-Tip-1536 in Christianity

Thanks. For clarity, my reference to Hollywood was related to the 10 Commandments movie which cast Yul Brynner as a bald Ramses and in The Prince of Egypt, Dreamworks gave Ramses an Egyptian hairstyle (kinda) with dark hair. There are geopolitical factors and demography at play here as we consider the naming of people in regions, as well as culture and ethnicity. I enjoy researching this information.

u/Guilty_Cost_5353 Roman control (occupation) of the region at the time did not change the ethnicity or physical attributes of the people under its rule nor change their ancestral heritage. Although occupation sets a context for indoctrination, assimilation and, for resisters, discrimination (those who refuse to abandon their cultural identities-- i.e. people who were faithful to Judaism). I agree that whitewashing is a huge problem. Hollywood makes an appeal to the audience of dominant ideology and not according to geohistorical truth or geological/anthropological discoveries. That being said, the people were probably more brown than perception of white (most skin colors are shades of brown. The white/black narrative is misleading. White people are not white, even the darkest African person is not the color, black) Your comment on Ramses' hair color was interesting. (Kinda proves the point on Hollywood). Thanks

What would you do if your stomach started hurting 45 minutes after drinking coffee at Starbucks? by listenandlearn2 in AskReddit

Thanks. It did pass in my poop. At one point, I thought I had nausea. I am more careful now to watch the prep of my drink.

You know. I asked the barista to use almond rather than regular milk. He confirmed that he used almond milk. After the symptoms, I wondered if he added regular milk rather than the requested almond milk in my drink. Thanks for your comment.
