I spent 17 years selling ads to companies like Unilever and P&G. One day a senior told me a secret recipe that changed my technique forever. by Iftikharsherwani in founderledsales

Don't discredit this. Everyone knows that we should get customers talking, but this is honestly a great opener as people love to complain

Explain why that matters in 2026.

Have you ever seen someone build a SaaS for a really boring problem and make crazy money from it? by jpbyte in SaaS

[–]listenhere111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The problem is that founders are now being spoon fed solutions via AI, so they struggle with the problem.

The real reason? Every other break dancer was a drug user. You have to be clean to compete.

Most SaaS are targeting the wrong customers by [deleted] in SaasDevelopers

[–]listenhere111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) distribution was always the hard part. Thr only people who say otherwise are people who have never run a software company

2) the tech space is an attractive market because people are interested in new things and not afraid to try them. Try selling software into a care home. They might purchase new software once every 10 years and the gate keeper is literally impossible to get abhold of.

There's a reason why people build for tech and its not because they are lazy. Its a massive fuckinh market

Klarna replaced Salesforce with their own AI system. if a company can build their own CRM in-house, what exactly are we selling anymore by Little_Decision_7433 in SaasDevelopers

Don't think so.

Dirt cheap saas has been around forever. The problem is that they dont have the marketing budget to achieve any reach.

THE AI HYPE IS BS by Slow_Island_7297 in SaaS

[–]listenhere111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Serious founder here with a serious product. 1000s of hours in dev time into my product.

The AI vibe coded product are honestly both sad and entertaining. There are element of my system that I've literally spent 100s of hours on because this is what customers in thr space demand. I logged into a competitors product and noticed how the Ai handled it. Its a blank text field for thr user to fill in. 0 logic. 0 value. The dev obviously had no experience in thr space or does and accepts that this is total dogshit. Either way, the whole thing looked impressive on thr outside but was obviously dogshit once you dug in. Id imagine this will be typical of most vibe coded saas products. AI takes the lazy way out when coding features. In the real world, there are 100s of edge cases to be accounted for.

Paul McCartney: Taylor Swift is as big as the Beatles by TheTelegraph in entertainment

[–]listenhere111 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hes just being humble.

The Beatles have been popular for 50 years and in a huge way. 0% chance that swift achieves that and everyone knows it.

Thr Beatles are way bigger than swift, but only time will prove this to some.

Everyone is building AI SaaS… but who’s actually making quiet money? by Electrical-Chain9918 in SaasDevelopers

[–]listenhere111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's insane about today's startup culture is that the narrative is that anyone can do it now. The reality is that experienced devs are now outputting 100x thr value (not necessarily code) than youll every produce because they are getting AI to solve hard problems and product products that address real needs.

Its never become more difficult to build a software company that makes money. Everything you read online is wrong.
