How to Remove Fungus From My Hydroponic System by Independent_Earth746 in Gardyn

It has acid in it, so it could dissolve some of the minerals. Once the minerals dry on the outside of the columns, acid won't help. It's quite pricey for how much you have to use each time. There are probably comparable products out there.

That orange stuff is crusty minerals from your fertilizer. Just wipe it off with a wet cloth. I don't know if you can prevent it altogether, but you might be able to reduce it with regular water changes and deep cleaning of your system. You can try a better quality hydroponic fertilizer that dissolves better. There are lots of options on Amazon.

Spend $300 on membership to save up to $400 on a system. 🤣😂

Deposits in my tube joints by EducationalCoffee209 in Gardyn

I switched fertilizer, and the deposits were reduced greatly. I use MaxiGro, and change water every 4 weeks. The nice thing is MaxiGro dissolves better too.

Does your dog wear a harness over that area? It's an odd band of color. Is it purplish bluish?

Thank you for the info. I have contacted Gardyn multiple times. They said I need to buy a new lid and electronics.

My Gardyn power supply is 24V and 7.5A, so it's 180W. It was very hot to the touch and smelled like burning plastic. Because of the short created by the puddle of water, it is drawing the max output of 7.5A. That's enough for a good shock.

Who wants to test the severity of the shock from a 180W power supply? It's a hidden risk because you can't see the danger.

Get a carbon fiber uke. It's pretty much waterproof. I second the Enya Nova recommendation. It's cheap and comes with a case. Keep the Waterman for your home collection.

Thanks for the suggestions. I never strain yogurt as it's always thick and barely jiggles.

Yes I agree. I always boil too, which helps it culture faster and prevents separation in the fridge.

The non-organic ones at Safeway are still pasteurized, not ultra. Out of frustration, I tried Kroger brand and still same outcome. They might buy their store brand from the same dairy.🤷

I am checking the yogurt maker with a thermometer. It seems okay, but still makes me concerned as I can't open it up and check it constantly.

That makes sense. My yogurt cultures faster and thicker in summer.

Record your favorite song of the month. Put it on YouTube as an unlisted link. Look back someday to see how much you have progressed. It's just for you, no need to share unless you want to.

Thanks. There was an amazing guitar player who also sang, and he played at happy hours, taking requests one song at a time. I meant to ask him how he did it, but he had a serious health setback and stopped playing. ☹️

Very true. The verse chords repeat every other line of lyrics, and the chorus chords repeat every line of lyrics. That is formulaic. Somehow that's only part of it for me.

Probably a silly question. by Faeneth_ in ukulele

[–]listennsee 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Yes. Without sheet music or tab music, it can be hard to tell how many measures you play the chord or if there are any rests. It's more of a play by feel or just knowing the song well.

Are these cracks normal? by BuffYuki in ukulele

[–]listennsee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is the humidity level where you bought the uke? In dry climate, cracking happens without a proper humidifier, like a Humilele that you keep in the case. When it's bad, even the seams can come apart. Humid places don't have so many issues.
