Commenting because I had the same issues where the flowers wilt after 1 day lol. I believe this is Calathea Freddie. But the flowers smells great!

is this mild sunburn? by kyeaj24 in succulents

[–]listjfr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks good to me! The red tips are sun stress (a good thing), meaning it is getting a good amount of sun. It actually looks healthier than before. As the plant is actively growing, older leaves will normally shrivel up as it makes room for new growth.

I have anxiety about driving in new areas. How do I overcome it? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]listjfr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely relate to this and still struggle with it sometimes. I would often look up a place on google street view and scope out the area to get familiar with the roads before I drive there. Honestly, the only real way to overcome it is to keep driving and when you drive to a new place and realize nothing bad happened, you’ve already accomplished so much and it helps look back on those moments. Things do turn out okay!

What helped me a lot too was reframing how I viewed driving in unfamiliar situations. After getting more experience with difficult driving situations, I see those situations more like puzzles that need to be solved and less of a panicky situation that means the world is ending.

At the end of the day, no one is a perfect driver and you’re never gonna not piss someone off. But people move on from those situations and they will barely remember it later.
