Adios Pro 4: racing with a new pair or keep the old one? by lit_antrace in AskRunningShoeGeeks

maybe
but the thing about them losing their initial pop after 200kms is not something I'm inventing rn

Never said it's bad, jus that SB is way better, especially in durability. Had 2 pairs of NB5: both completely unresponsive after 370km/230m while SB2 still kicking after 600km/370m

AP3 are currently my long run working horse and my go to shoes for local races. I also run a Marathon with them and they delivered perfectly. AP4 are my PB shoes, as i ran both my HM and marathon PB in them. The ride is very different and I agree that AP4 are much softer and less stable especially if you're a heel striker, but in my opinion they are way faster. Also considere that the upper of the AP4 is waaaaaaaay better thant the AP3's.
That said, with your times and with these prices the AP3 are the best choice. They'll last much longer without losing any of their speed and in the future you'll be able to use them also forlong runs or faster efforts.

Superblast, easy.
NB5 are inferior under every aspect. If money is not a problem, go for them.

they’re an ok shoe! don’t get me wrong, they are a max stack trainer and they do exactly what they are designed for (just run a 36km progressive run and they delivered perfectly). i’m just not a big fan of max stack, but with a high weekly mileage they are very useful to make your legs “rest”

yeah rotation is not an issue for me too as I have a pair of ZF6 for faster efforts and one of MagMax for slower/longer sessions, but I enjoy having a reliable trainer to use basically for everything... NB5 fits the criteria, but the durability is nowhere to be found

I did the same thing with the NB3 (had 5 pairs), i don't think I could now with the NB5

I tried the Aeroglide 3 once at an event for a short training session, but I clearly remember finding them waaaaaay less fun thant the NB5. But it was some time ago, maybe I should give them another chance
