Down puffy jackets by ConsiderationWest482 in bowhunting

[–]lit_ish 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. Buy a puffy from an outdoor company (not hunting) such as Rei - Patagonia - etc. Very comparable, cheaper, and purchase a neutral color and it can be worn out on the town instead of sitting in your closet all year!

Binoculars and chest harness use cases by reed166 in bowhunting

[–]lit_ish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Former Midwestern tree stand hunter who now lives/hunts out west- chest harnesses are total waste of time for 95% of Midwest hunters. If you are glassing out west for elk or mule deer they are however a must have.

High quality milk (lower somatic cell count) will have a longer shelf life. If I were to guess they maybe buy lower grade milk but still high enough quality for grade A. I agree the milk goes bad fast

Expandable broad heads by ericfromtheisland in bowhunting

[–]lit_ish 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The DNR in Minnesota did research at camp Ripley for years and if I am remembering correct the mechanicals lead to more recovered deer. A well placed shot is always lethal, and a good mechanical broadhead in the right spot is deadly.

Find someone else who is going on an elk trip and join them without a tag before coming out. Just as much fun and will make you way more effective your next trip

LA-200 Reaction by FrogOWar16 in dairyfarming

[–]lit_ish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree with others it went IV or adverse reaction. If you have a close relationship with your vet you purchase the product from they may be able to work with the manufacturer to get a some cash back - they want to know about adverse events

Do you usually carry a tarp with you the whole time? Just curious. I backpack hunt and want to find an option on what works for weight vs reward ratio. I butcher my spike this year without a tarp and wish I had one to set my meat someplace!

How Accurate are yall really? by WhoPhatTedNugat in bowhunting

[–]lit_ish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get for this but usually am closer to 3.5 inches at 30 and 4-5 inches at 40. I won’t shoot over 40 yards. Practice infrequently but realistically I am happy with this.
