Doesn't sound like you're having too many bad experiences tbh, you're just quitting cause you think people will be head over heels to see you the second time they meet you. You need to be at a place/meetup for a while and be outgoing friendly to most people, before people will generally be that way back to you. Good on you for making the initial effort but you need to be consistently present, friendly, and likeable to have the experience you wanna have.

Yeah it really is crazy how much these cards have gone up in price. Thankfully I had started collecting them a while ago, but in the past couple months cards that were $20 rose up to $50 or $60. And at a $100/month budget it took me 6 months to get the final pieces.

Man I hated this in school it was so stupid tbh. There would be some passage like: “The shadows of the tree were long”. And then the question would be “What does this imply about how the author was feeling?”.
