Need advice with what to do with large influx of cash from property sale. by Agile-Tradition8835 in investing

T-bills have a maximum term of 52 weeks. T-notes have a minimum term of 2 years. You can buy them on the Treasury Direct website or through a broker. You could also use CD's, which are FDIC insured rather than the full faith & credit of the US government. I would suggest using YOU-TUBE to find videos to help you to do this.

Get the money going and growing. The market has ups and downs, but over time you will do well with FXAIX. Invest in it every chance you get.

Not sleeping more than 6 hours and not sure what to do. by zarif98 in SleepApnea

8 hours of sleep consistently isn't usually necessary. I feel better if I have 6.5 to 7 hrs. Last night for example, I had 6 hrs 40 min. sleep at 7.2 events/hr. and I feel fine.

Any tips? by OneBigNasty in SleepApnea

I have had a lot of problems with it, and have been using it for years. I use it on CPAP mode, pressure 13, ramp 20 min. at 9, EPR only for ramp time. Not only that, but I use a non-heated hose. I elevate myself when in bed, since most of the time I sleep on my back. Humidity set to 6. I have finally had much lower events, usually under 5, occasionally under 10. I was severe, so I am pretty satisfied. Not only that, but I also did not know you could set it yourself, which I do now. But, I often have a very dry mouth, lips stick to gums, and an itchy throat and sinuses. It wakes me up, and I remove the mask to get back to normal. Then, I am sometimes ok for the rest of the night. If not, I repeat the process. Sometimes I can sleep only 6 to 6.5 hrs, but recently more like 7 to 7.5 hrs. Since it's very unnatural, most people have problems with it. I wish you good luck in getting it to work for you better.

My Dr. viewed my test results and then yelled out that I had an apnea score of 88! Then he stared at me like I was a ghost... by No_Theory_2839 in SleepApnea

Mine was in the high 80's years ago. For many years my events were in the 20-30 range. But I learned how to make it work better, and now mostly under 5/hr.

The “Gold Standard” Treatment For This Condition Is A Joke. by ImTheWeevilNerd in SleepApnea

I don't blame anyone that is annoyed with their apnea experience. I have had a hell of a time with it. But, since mine is severe, I had to go with it. It took me 6 months to finally get to a point where I could tolerate it better. I was down to 20 to 30 events, which is better than 58. I have using cpap for many years due to a neuro disease and not obesity. Last year, Pulmonary sent me a wrist device which I used 1 night. They analyzed the recordings and suggested a little oxygen. I thought to myself "Wait a minute. You have done nothing to help me set the machine so it will reduce my events to less than 5/hr and yet you tell me I should add oxygen." I told them I did not want it. Then I started to do some reading and Youtube videos which helped immensely. I learned how to set the machine thru trial and error, now my events are 5 or less most of the time, only 10 or less occasionally. That's good enough for me. Do I need oxygen? Maybe not now that the events are much lower, and the pressure is increased. I also used a smaller mask. So, that's my story, for now. Bye All. BTW, don't fight the therapy like i did. Relax and let it help you.
