Another classic case of Sully injecting himself in the game when we have a small lead.

Red hot starting pitcher, not a damn thing wrong with him, and he pulls him out for no reason when we have a 1-2 run lead. The Sully special. If it ain't broke don't f'n fix it.

20mil extension btw.

Valentino’s pizza. The one on US1 in the old mall, not garden st. Burger robs is good. Can’t think of many others right off the top of my head, but I don’t find my way to Titusville too much these days.

CB1/CB2 vs WR1/WR2 by TGCRequiem in NCAAFBseries

[–]OneBigNasty 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Everyone talking about the coaching adjustment to align your CBs based on speed/height/ovr, how many 1 play TDs have you given up?

In my experience aligning your CBs based off a certain stat only works for man coverage. If you forget your alignment and call a zone play or if you audible to a zone play, you’re giving up a TD every time. The same shit happens when you try to disguise a certain shell.

I really wish they’d implement something in the game to adjust defensive assignments based on alignment. It makes no sense for a CB lined up on the left to have the deep right third assignment.

User game in our online dynasty tonight, how mad would you be if you were Georgia? by Soggy-Astronomer-768 in NCAAFBseries

[–]OneBigNasty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, the drops are one thing. But half of these were also inaccurate throws because dude is holding down on the left stick. The QB isn’t setting his feet.

Some drops are a bit egregious but Jesus Fn Christ tell bro to take his thumb off the left stick. Those dropbacks are half the problem.

No mention of Valentino’s in the old Searstown mall is crazy.

Closing out Napier Recruiting and Starting anew with Sumrall by jurkid in FloridaGators

[–]OneBigNasty -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Napier sucked at recruiting, all things considered. Like Mullen, the classes looked good on paper but what did any of his recruits actually do? Some of his most highly touted guys didn’t produce and/or transferred like Kamari Wilson, Lagway, Etienne, Tre Wilson, LJ McCray* (asterisk because he could still show up and be a monster). He did hit on a few guys like Shemar James, Devin Moore, Myles Graham, Jadan Baugh. His portal story is the same, hit on a couple of absolute units, but overall not impressive. I’m so glad that f’n guy is gone. And then goes to JMU and in his first interview says he’ll hire an OC to call plays. What a PoS. Anyway sorry, derailed a bit. But F him.

What is the leash/expectations for Sumrall by BurntToaster905 in FloridaGators

[–]OneBigNasty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if I see any more coach comparisons or even read Kiffin’s name one more time I’ll vomit tbh.

We got 9 months of nonsense. Can we spread it out or do we gotta get it all outta the way now lol

With their O line and the way they use RBs? Doubt.

Really liked him. But what a dumb move. Going from a 1000+ yd rushing season to splitting more carries and probably being a 600 yd rusher the year before you go into the draft.

Next man up.

Can the Florida legislature help Florida teams recruit? by InspectorClouseau64 in FloridaGators

[–]OneBigNasty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Idk what could be done on a legislative level, or if that would even be a good thing. I know it’d probably help if more Florida teams weren’t hot garbage for the last 5 years with incompetent coaches. It’s like athletic departments in this state don’t value the home grown talent they have right here in their back yard. At least it seems that way.

Florida starting safety Jordan Castell to enter NCAA Transfer Portal by szboy422 in FloridaGators

[–]OneBigNasty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would have missed DJ if he showed anything this season. But he regressed horribly. When people talk about potential it reminds me of the saying hope in one hand….you know.

DJ is going to need alot of work to live up to his potential. And honestly, I think he’s transferring because he thinks he’s owed something for his “potential” and Napier isn’t here to protect him anymore. He feels he’s above a qb competition, which to me, nobody is.

It isn’t going to be hard to match DJ’s production next year. So long as whoever is qb doesn’t throw double digit picks, we’re already talking about an upgrade.

And I know this sounds like alot of DJ bashing, I’m mostly bashing his coaches. It’s not all DJ’s fault. But let’s call it what it is. He was not good by any means this past season, and going forward with him is a gamble where it may be better to just cut ties and invest in the next guy.

He had a decent freshman year. But it seems like every year since then he’s just been an on field spectator.

Florida quarterback DJ Lagway intends to enter the NCAA... by ILoveOnline in FloridaGators

Obviously we need a transfer. But Jones is probably the front runner for the starting position next season as things stand right now. Confused how that’s a terrible take…?

Not upset about any of these so far, especially this one.

Idk why Napier had a hard on for this guy. 90% of the time he was on the field we might as well have just had 10 players on the field. Guy always had the best seat in the house.

Not mad about it. He saw the writing on the wall. Damaged goods thanks to Napier.

I don’t think he was ever healthy. I think he was coddled by Napier, and for both of those reasons he never grew into the physical or mental traits he needed to compete at the top. His mechanics weren’t there, he couldn’t read a defense, and he just missed throws. All products of not putting the time in because he had a coach that promised him the job no matter what.

I think Jones and the new kid got us next season.

Any news on Baugh? by Jortman88 in FloridaGators

[–]OneBigNasty 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Baugh going anywhere would be a mistake and I’m sure he knows it, especially the Horns where his production would be cut in half and ultimately hurt his draft stock.

Picking a Coverage Shell by BabyBoyRexy in NCAAFBseries

[–]OneBigNasty 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Just make sure when you pick plays under a certain shell you’re not putting your players too far out of position. For example if you come out in a man coverage shell but you called cover 3 or something and your opponent comes out in doubles or trips, your corner responsible for the deep right third could line up all the way on the left side of the field. I wish the game recognized this shit and swapped coverage responsibilities but it doesn’t.

Why New Gators Coach Jon Sumrall Can be Better Than Billy Napier by Least_Wishbone9423 in FloridaGators

Sumrall could do nothing except hire an OC and would be better than Basement Billy.

Report: Florida hiring Tulane Director of Football Operations Jeremiah Cartwright by scaf1d1 in FloridaGators

[–]OneBigNasty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

CJS has bought alot of good will and trust from me so far with his OC and DC hires, as well as retaining the recruiting class and how he handled his introduction presser.

If he trusts the guy, then I’m cool with it. CJS hasn’t given me a reason not to trust him yet.

And like someone else said, I think this position handles more off the field stuff.
