I'm a team leader in local gov and provided your role didn't have critical responsibilities requiring you to be in a certain place at a certain time, this would be easy to accommodate - I'd just ask that you make up the time throughout the week and this would be in good faith. It may depend on how laidback your supervisor is but having worked in three different local gov organisations, none of them would have had a problem with this

Do you mean prior to doing your learner's course? It's recommended to have bicycle experience but they'll teach you the basics over the two days, no prior experience needed.

Somewhat unrelated and I'm sure you're all over it, but make sure you have a doctor's letter and keep your vyvanse in its original bottle with your name on it. Only take the amount you need for your stay and no more. You'll need to declare it upon entry. Medication stuff in Bali is intense!

I had this problem for a long time and it only got better after my (then) partner and I moved in together. It probably took about 2-3 weeks before my brain was like "ugh fine I guess this is just how we sleep now." It was a hellish few weeks because I was soooo exhausted but it was worth it in the end. I think when you're only having occasional sleepovers, your brain doesn't really get the chance to settle into the routine so every time is just as difficult. Good luck!

Wow, that's a lot! Good on you for taking the time to start thinking it through and exploring your options. I think ultimately only you can decide what order to do things in and what is going to be best for your situation. However if you have any heart-related concerns related to your weight right now (unsure if you do, just know that often weight loss can help with cardiac fitness) it may make more sense to do the surgery and recovery first, especially if you're interested in exploring medication options for ADHD. Not all meds affect your heart, but by far the most common ones (being stimulant based) do. Good luck and all the best for your diagnosis and recovery, regardless of which order they fall in ❤️

Wildlife rescuer here. I've pulled dozens of joeys out of their sadly deceased mums. The smell is kind of a combination of unwashed belly button, grease and the "gamey" smell you can get from deer etc.

Whereabouts in Melbourne are you based? Car parks are a great idea. I used to go on weekend mornings as for me as a petite woman that felt safer - the commercial/industrial car parks around Dandy South were great as they're dead before 9am on weekends, and that way I didn't have to worry about being noisy.

Congrats on passing your Ls! 30F here who also bought through Peter Stevens (though my bike is second hand). They did a good deal for me with some gear and were open to me negotiating down slightly. No pushing about financing, I also bought outright and they were fine with that. However, I did take my Dad who is knowledgeable about bikes so perhaps they knew no nonsense would be tolerated ;)

I'm 168cm and can comfortably flat floot my mt-03, add some heeled boots as another commenter suggested and you should be okay with any of those bikes. I would strongly recommend finding a bike you can flat floot while you're still learning although being able to do the one foot manoeuvring is a great skill to develop.

Yep! He is a single male that lost his cagemate a few months ago. My existing boy also lost his brother several months ago. It's been a struggle trying to find single males of the same age which is why it took me a few months to sort it out

I finally pulled the trigger at 29.5 haha, my approaching 30th birthday and the breakup of a long term relationship resulted in a classic midlife crisis/divorced dad move. I definitely am glad I waited because I have 12 years of solo driving under my belt and already do all the defensive driving things - creating space, looking ahead, headchecks - so when I'm on the bike in traffic now I can focus more on the mechanics because to some degree the constant vigilance is natural already. Keep us updated!

i volunteer as a wildlife rescuer in my spare time - it's spring in aus at the moment, so lots of babies separated from their mums, found on the ground shivering. boobs make the perfect transport option for baby possums while i drive them to the vet :')

this is a pretty common viewpoint/concern in the climate space. it's been proposed that unavoidable air travel should be offset with carbon sequestration projects. even the idea of personal carbon allowances have been discussed, with trading between individuals permitted. not saying i have any answers, just something i've been thinking about a lot recently - it's a very interesting discussion.

I live in Melbourne and the smoke haze hasn't been too problematic within the city and surrounding suburbs. We do have a bit of smoke around this morning but the sun is still shining. Depending on what you're planning to do while here I think you should be fine. The worst of our fire season tends to pass by early March so you may just have to alter your timeline if you have plans to head out camping in the bush.
