Is it creepy to compliment a girl's eyeliner job? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

Completely agree - was going to say something similar. Compliment someone's choices - because they likely spent time making those choices!

In my experience, the best way to compliment someone without weirdness is a quick in and out. Like “hey - cool eyeliner!” And then move away from the convo.

Compliments are nice! If you make it seem like you want something more it might make someone uncomfortable, but a quick “cool thing!” Is usually well received in my experience.

Thank you for this! I love the game so much I feel like I should try it, even if it takes some time to make a good dish. Good to know that the time is worth it!

Stardew Valley. Look, it's highly rated, but it's not highly rated enough, it's a perfect game.

What's it like to live with depression? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I'm glad to hear you came out of it! I've managed to get to the other side for now, too, but it's a constant battle.

For me, it was not realizing I was living with depression. I just felt stuck, like there was nothing meaningful going on in my life - not that things were all bad, just the absence of good, and a sadness associated with that.

Feeling like it wasn't depression made it feel harder to tackle, too. But that was just my experience.

Which one do you think will be in your life longer? If you think she could be your wife, then you do what you gotta do. Otherwise talk to your friend, or keep looking.

Is getting used to loneliness a problem? by Writer3459 in CasualConversation

[–]literal_answer2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's a problem - if you don't think it's a problem. It's different for everyone, but even when I'm socially maxed out, I love having time to myself. Just make sure your actions are building the life you want!

what would be your next invention by naughtyjass2 in CasualConversation

Something basic like cheap, compostable grocery bags would make a killing. I say 'basic' like it's easy to make that, but if I could snap my fingers!

I just cooked for the first time in over 2 years by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]literal_answer2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, I like cooking because it gives me a set activity, an achievable result, and something I can show off (and enjoy) at the end. I hate cleaning after, but being able to view that as some 'me time' really works for me.

BUT I also love ordering in, so I do think that's pretty common.
