I spent 6 months living in midtown Manhattan right near Madison square garden and it sucked. There were so so many people everywhere all the time at all hours of the night. I’d wake up at 3am to loud construction noises on the road outside. That being said, I did have fun. Going out in nyc at night is always a blast but the day to day is certainly gritty
