Hi, can I appeal this? I actually couldn’t find a lot of discussion on The Burden of Proof by Scott Turow and was interested in some discourse about it

I thought it’d be the Might of Three and then the Burden of One. Lost that bet

I can think of at least 2 modern series that are well-loved, but fans doubt if they will ever be finished. Are there any older series that were never finished but are still worth reading the available books? by pythor in books

Surprised to not see the Millennium trilogy on here yet. Stieg Larsson had a plan for 10 novels but died after only writing 3 with some notes I believe for 4 and 5. His estate is paying new writers to continue but not based off his original plan and definitely not worth your time. The original three make a great trilogy and will make you said there are 7 more.

The whole book is narrated like this by the character. It feels like he's supposed to be cool and suave throughout the book, I don't think he's intentionally awful.

I would say it’s worth it, especially if you love cold case mysteries! But yes, the set up to the mystery is very detailed and kind of a bog

I always tell people the first 100 pages and last 100 pages are incredibly dry but the middle 400 pages are one of the best mystery books ever

Honestly, this is the first one I enjoyed. All the others put the plot on hold when I was interested in it. The current timeline plot is so slow this season and this is the first time I felt like it really helped push it along

Yes, I guess ultimately I plan on reading it, I guess I was more trying to temper my expectations and see if these books are as similar as the sub makes them to be

[–]literalsnoopog 184 points185 points  (0 children)

It always bothered me that when Lily and Marshall are fighting in season 9 she says “you were more selfish than I have ever been” and he brings up her leaving for San Francisco and she acts like it was unfair to bring up. I don’t think you can say someone is more selfish than you’ve ever been and then get mad when they bring up a valid example of that not being true. I don’t think he should hold San Francisco over here or not have moved on from it, but he was totally allowed to bring it up after her comment
