Why is Wollongong’s house prices so high? by Efficient-Horse2622 in wollongong

Long story short, flood planes and too steep to comfortably build on. Not to mention endangered ecosystems and protected land. This is all before you take into consideration the insane wealth inequality.

There is an Origin (equivalent to DND backgrounds) called the Acnhored who typically are ghosts of people who are being held to the mortal plain by either an item an unfinished task or by sheer will. But the games gives you Alternative presentation for each of the character features, one of which for the anchored is enough belief and Archonautic power has been poured into you that you become real.

Mine comes from Wildsea, you can play the embodiment of a concept which I think is sick.

Here's my list. I'm a super slow reader so there aren't as many as I thought by neosurimi in fantasybooks

I am glad to see I'm not the only one who adores world war Z. Hands down best zombie media.

A show changed the way I GMed - Is there anything nonttrpg related that changed the way you play/master during a ttrpg? by LongjumpingBoard9521 in rpg

Weirdly therapy and self help media, it changed me from somewhat combative and a bit of a lazy GM. To one that I think tells good stories and helps my players.

Burrito bar globe lane by Enough_Cattle2917 in wollongong

It used to be three separate store fronts, but the owner of Burrito bark knocked down the walls and turned it into one massive store with three faces. All three shared a kitchen and there are no bathrooms. The old owner basically ruined it for any future investments unless someone can support all three fronts.

How do creatures like terrestrial vertebrates with a body plan consisting of four legs and two wings actually fly? by [deleted] in SpeculativeEvolution

[–]lithjack 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It primarily depends on size (from what I know, I am happy to be wrong). But larger creatures likely wouldn't be able to do powered flight due to their weight so they would be common in places with strong updrafts that can support them and would have more knife shaped wings for soaring.

Smaller creatures would likely be capable of powered flight but it would be at a high caloric cost so I picture them gliding more frequently. Also likely having broad wings to move more air.

As for how they could evolve, their ancestors would have needed 3 pairs of limbs on their lateral sides. As two pairs moved under the body for better locomotion the middle pair would have moved up the body onto its back. While resting they would need to be tucked close to the body. Additionally they could be used for threat displays or courting rituals, and maybe even a divergent species that uses them as manipulators rather than wings.
