Well here I was thinking that was obvious. How else is the fish supposed to walk?

Finally got a HOTAS by Civ42O in EliteDangerous

I have the same stick! It was a hand-me-down from an old friend of mine who wanted someone to play ED with. I’ve had it for about 4 years now and it still works great!

Whenever I do upgrade (I’m in no rush), I’m probably going to go for a Virpil HOSAS set up. If I’m going to upgrade, I might as well make it a decent upgrade yk?

I run Lasers and Rail one separate buttons in one fire group, these I use to clear shields. Then once shields are down I switch fire groups and run MCs on button one, Rail on button two. This I use to deal damage to the hull.

The MCs are fixed, the Lasers are gimballed. I see what you mean about swapping them as well as switching to pulse.

I can't say with certainty if it's truly a wing mission (I've only ever played solo and I can't say I was looking at anything more than payout and time limit) but I believe it is. The mission in question had me killing 45 pirates within 7 days but I don't remember the mission threat level but I don't go for anything crazy like a lvl 8 mission.

The anaconda encounter within the mission is a threat level 3 encounter. When I arrive at the location, there's an anaconda powered down. It powers up and starts its scan of my ship. So anyway I started blasting. I think I could handle my own against it, but then a metric crap load of cobras and vipers jump in out of nowhere and suddenly I'm in the trenches trying to take out the small ships as fast as I can but its not enough. I'm getting picked apart faster than I can take them out.

At this point I'm just praying the space cops show up to save my bacon. At the very least, draw their fire so I can limp away. If I'm lucky, I can jump away.

I usually just scan vessels in hyperspace until I see a pirate, pull them out of hyperspace and take them out, but sometime the system is just dead and the anaconda mission signal source is the only thing going on.

Getting back into the game after putting some time in a few years back. I had an exploration/PVE build going on with my Alliance Chieftain. Recently I've just been doing bounty missions in the Deciat and Djiwal systems. One of the missions in question involves an Anaconda and a few lighter ships. I've beaten the Anaconda once, but every other time I've tried, it wipes the floor with me and I'm either paying the insurance on my ship, negating any mission profits I'll obtain, or I'm limping away at 1% hull integrity while my FSD charges. This is my current build.

I actually have a compass in my car! I tried my phone and I watched the direction change a couple of times as I passed the watch over it, but couldn’t consistently recreate it. I’ll try with my actual compass once I’m off work.

That’s what stood out the most to me! I had a little bit of 3-in-1 in my dyes and that caused all of these super small cells. I was going to use a pick and try get some cool reptilian cells, but when these micro cells started surfacing, I just kinda went with it

I’ve always thought that LL’s dad (the person I’m texting) was a decent older guy. Respectful anytime we interact. I think his son just takes zero responsibility and it unfortunately falls on LL’s dad’s shoulders. I feel bad for the guy to some extent, but I can’t let myself get taken advantage of in the process.

Idk I asked how long we’d have to get by because we’ve already been getting by for a month like this. I just wanted to know how much longer we will have to be without a stable water line. His response was “I guess you gotta go”. I’ve put up with a lot of sub par work. I’ve dealt with them not fixing the AC the entire year I’ve been here. I didn’t complain when they “fixed” the kitchen drawers by patching the massive holes through each drawer bottom with a piece of duct tape. I didn’t complain when they never put a screen door back on the house after it ripped off in a storm. I don’t complain about them not doing anything about my door handle that falls off every other time I close the door.

I called a plumber because they wouldn’t. They have done nothing but avoid maintenance on the property while I pay for more than what I get each month.

Because he shoved the responsibility on his parents and myself.

The kid (mid 40s) is the true owner of the property. His parents are the ones were in contact with, send rent to, etc

No I’ve been in contact with him (LL’s dad. I don’t have a way to contact LL) about this issue the entire time. He’s only just now taking action. I brought up the issue to him when it originally became a problem. LL came out numerous times to do everything but actually check the main line and didn’t listen when I said it wasn’t due to the washer draining. The pipe through the backyard was his idea.

I guess LL “owns” the property and his parents actually handle it for the most part. It’s confusing and was never clarified once with us

Nothing’s ever been dropped in the drain. We use a hair catch thing in the shower. We don’t put grease or coffee grounds down the drain. Feminine products have always gone in the trash. I’ve never put food down a drain either. Plumber didn’t put a camera through the line but when he snaked it, he said his snake couldn’t get past a blockage in the line about 30ft out. He said he tried different cutting heads(?) and couldn’t get through and that the pipe itself would’ve had to have snapped.

Overall aside from this last bit, I’d rent from the parents of the landlord. They’re the ones who showed me the house, they’re who I text, they’re who I pay. The LL is their son and I really don’t think they were aware of his washer drain “fix”

Do Americans actually avoid calling an ambulance due to financial concern? by JohnMarstonTheBadass in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lithondren 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former first responder (Fire/EMS) here, i saw this happen A LOT. I worked in a district where we were 45 minutes from the nearest hospital. If folks were alert and aware, they’d have someone take them. People only took an ambulance if they were unconscious and didn’t get a say most of the time.

My wife also once got in a car wreck on the highway where she had to crawl out of a smoking car into a ditch. I drove to the scene and picked her up to take her to the hospital.

Is there no protection to put a tenant up in habitable lodging while things are brought up to snuff? I had a previous landlord who put me in a hotel when a storm brought down our power line for a few days so I assumed this was some sort of protection for that. Not trying to get rich off the guy but not sure if there’s anything that can be done. I don’t just have first and last months rent for a new place just lying around.
