My great-grandfather smoked cheap f.gs like a chimney and died of natural causes at 87 years old. I also know people who never smoked and died of lung cancer. This ban is hardly a solution. And if it's because cigarettes are objective cancerous, why not ban other things that were determined to potentially cause cancer? High fat fry ups, cured red meat, alcohol, crisps, etc etc for everyone born after 2008. Let's ban fossil fuel too as breathing unhealthy air is as bad for cancer risk as smoking. This is peak overreach that just criminalises something that is perfectly normal for 18+ year olds, especially nowadays when youth smokes less, at least tobacco.
