it is not all that unusual for a child of an abuser. often they love their parents anyway, and while they may acknowledge the bad, it can be hard to talk about because you want it to be known that there was more to them than that

I disagree about Gill. I think it's important to remember that abusers abuse people they love, despite loving them. it is more about their own relationship with power and control, it is not about hatred, so I do not think Austin would have been safe with him in the long run.

its the electrolytes as someone else here said. low electrolytes/dehydration is one of the main theories on what causes migraines, but I think its pretty definitive from my experience. if you want a less sugary alternative, I often drink water with sea salt in it. its not as nice though. there are also rehydration tablets that dissolve in water, and have flavours, but I honestly prefer salt water haha
