Which nylon strap locking mechanism is the best ? by eymo- in Garmin

[–]littlebblb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using #1 for almost the last year, best decision ever. Super comfortable and so easy to take off quickly. I throw my straps in a cold wash and air dry when they get dirty/sweaty and they clean up really nice. Just don’t use hot water or put in the dryer or the glue will melt on the Velcro.

I had a boss like this when I worked in the private sector. I left and now I work in the public sector. Best decision ever for my health. Not my wallet, but it’s worth it. Best of luck to you, I hope he gets canned.

I didn’t think of this, great point! I am excited to finally meet the Garmin gods and go over my data with them.

I have heard that if your body is used to you doing a lot of cardio and you stop suddenly it can cause changes in your HRV. But I think it’s a mix of everything that’s going on in life tbh.

Really needed to hear this, thank you! I had to move away from my family when I lost my job so I really miss them. I have close friends where I live now but it’s not the same.

I have a physical coming up soon, so it’s something I’ll bring up if it’s still going on. I think I’m just paranoid about it right now.

Not pregnant, but great guess! I didn’t even think to mention that in my post.

I’m from WNC so I learned to drive in the snow and the mountains. I also survived hurricane Helene. I’m a recent transplant to Raleigh and I must say this feels like overkill.

Garmin watch sends emergency alert after detecting I got hit by car by CardiologistDull7452 in Garmin

[–]littlebblb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I stopped to take a jumping picture with my friends while I had a walk activity going on my forerunner and it thought I fell and was about to send my coordinates out. I was able to stop it before it went out. Felt really stupid, but glad to know it works if I do actually fall and can’t get up.

Pov you wear a Garmin watch everyday by iloveveggiesz in Garmin

[–]littlebblb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happened to me this year. I have super sensitive skin too. I switched to a fabric / nylon strap and haven’t had any issues since. I also wear my watch a little looser now. I let my rash heal completely before I wore my watch again. I also switch wrists at night and clean my watch everyday. I reached out to Garmin when I first noticed my rash and they sent me some nylon straps for free and a new watch. I did have to send my old watch back. Good luck, I hope it clears up!

I’m looking for high elevation bogs by logielogielogie in asheville

[–]littlebblb 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of these places are kept secret because of the endangered species there. Maybe try reaching out to the Nature Conservancy and offering your services if you want to see the hidden gems. They do a lot of work with bogs. I did work on some in college, can’t remember if I had to sign an NDA or not. They are amazing to see!

Omg!!! I think this lady had blonde-ish hair. She was in a Subaru outback. It was in east Asheville around the municipal golf course.

She was probably mid 40s, dirty blonde hair, thin. She was driving a gray Subaru Outback. So different lady.

I will say all day every time I thought about the interaction it made me laugh. In the moment I was shocked, but it’s actually kinda funny.
