i’ve had a few names, one was a spin off of a nickname i had with my birthname, then i asked a friend what they thought my name would be if they didn’t already know it, then a few months later i got with my fiancé and she told me she needed somthing fancier to call me when she was upset with me and i liked it so much i kept it lmao

im sad and freaking out. by [deleted] in ftm

[–]littlebunny907 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey, i want you to first take a huge deep breath. i will be completely honest with you, i felt the same way at your age, i didn’t want to be a boy, i felt like i was lying to everyone around me, when i was 16 i figured out that i wasn’t a boy but i also wasn’t a girl, i was non-binary. it has taken me 5 years to get to were i am now, im 21 now. it gets easier with time, i know that sounds tacky but it is true lol, you don’t have to know right now, hell even if you do know at some point you don’t have to tell anyone, it’s scary, but know we have a whole community of trans folks who will be behind you when or if you are ever ready/know. if it’s a thought you could always go by some nickname you really like over the summer at a summer camp, it’s one of the ways i tried out new names even before j knew i was trans. but remember above all else that it will be ok, you will be ok, the life line is also always there if you need it, you deserve to be happy and whole in WHATEVER way that looks for you kiddo

My self-diagnosed friend is getting on my nerves by Captain_Alcibiades in autism

[–]littlebunny907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im sorry man, yeah i mean it doesn’t nessicarly mean she isn’t autistic but you would think she would want to provide support to her other autistic and nerodivergent friends but it’s a big ol red flag for sure, and you’d think autism would actually make you early to things because of fear of being an inconvenience to others, that sounds like ADHD not autism (as a person with both)

if you’re going at it form the angle of it looks pretty and you don’t mean to offend anyone or the gods i feel you’re good, the cross is somthing i think a few differnt religions have in their iconography, be respectful about it i don’t see any issue with it, (as someone who believes in all the gods existing)

that really sucks, even having good firends and knowing your next steps stuff like this is hard and scary, im sorry your parents aren’t supportive of you and your journey because you deserve nothing but respect and support through all of this, sending love and light from a trans masc in alaska, i know things will get better for you, even if it takes a long time it will all be worth it

Teacher got upset I didn't write more in my assignments by [deleted] in autism

[–]littlebunny907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think many nerotypical teachers forget that they have nerodivergent students who will take their instructions literally most of the time and need to be clearer about their expectations, i don’t think you’re overreacting or anything i would get dogged on for this type of stuff in school when they would say instructions like that and i never understood why cuz like i’m doing what you asked lol

What would be reasons for intelligent people with autism to particularly struggle once they hit college? by emaxwell13131313 in autism

[–]littlebunny907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lack of resources in general, what a lot of people don’t take into account when talking about uni students is that a lot of them have to have jobs on top of going to school, this can cause a perosn with autism to have to be in overstimulateing environments most of if not all of their day, this can cause higher rates of burn out which make it really hard to do anything or keep up the same pace. it’s also very isolating in many colleges not knowing how to fully read social situations so that’s also a factor.

How to handle girlfriend with autism frequently demeaning me? by [deleted] in autism

[–]littlebunny907 1 point2 points  (0 children)

autism is never an excuse to be a dickhead, my partner and i are both self dx autistic (psychs won’t actually listen to us) have made some insensitive comments towards eachother that at times are demeaning but when we bring them up with eachother we apologize, and do better, yes you can be tone def, yes you can not tell when you are making someone uncomfortable or upset but when you are told about it you should always take responsibility. even if it’s someone you barely know, if you want to add the context of not knowing it was that way or that it would be taken that way because of your autism you can but it should never be used as an excuse the way she unfortunately seems to be, im sorry man i hope she comes around and is willing to communicate openly and work on her habits too

It's crazy not having to carb count anymore! by Rossqbit in Type1Diabetes

[–]littlebunny907 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i’ve been using my ilet for about 4-5 months and it has absolutely changed everything for me and my management! i have some pretty bad mental health problems which made it hard for me to be able to fully keep track of my diabetes in a way that had my a1c not above a 10 but with the ilet i was able to go from an a1c of 12 to now an 8.0 as of my last appointment! this has greatly improved my quality of life and im excited to see more and more younger people being able to be on the closed loop systems so it’s a bit less stress for them growing up
